My personal theory on what happened would be that If you go back a few years, the Way Vshojo handled revenue with their talents was always pretty crazy and it was always kind of a mystery as to how they stayed afloat when they weren't cutting into their talents donation money or anything of the sort supposedly only drawing revenue from in house produced merchandise (like stuff the company produced, not even the stuff the talents produced)
Vshojo had a significant amount of venture capital backing, which I imagine is how they made that work for some years. But trying to dig into it the last round of fundraising the company did was in 2022.
Now in 2025 we have several talents that seem to be departing because of business disagreements and now this with Mouse. If I had to try to pose a plausible guess. probably in the last year or so that venture capital money they had from back in 2022 dried up and someone in the company had to start scraping to try and keep their shit together, and this was probably where stuff like skimming mouse's money and some less desirable dealings with other talents happened leading to their departure.
Investment money dried up, so company had to start cutting into talent revenues which didn't sit well with them as that was not what they signed on for, and in cases like mouse cooking the books to skim off her bottom line to try and cover for that venture capital being gone.

It's just a rrat until there's actually some evidence of it (there is none other than they are close) so I wouldn't even call it kayfabe because neither of them say they are in a relationship. Is Connor actually her BF or is that just kayfabe? I always got the impression that it was kind of fake and played up for the intrigue. If they were really together, there'd be no reason to hide it since Vshojo is all about 'freedom' or whatever (and Nyanners was openly with Aethelstan when she still did stuff).
