If you wanted to be technical hololive did get the Japanese government on their case at one point for failing to pay contractors their fees for revisions on roughly 250 different occasions (Link)

They did end up making good on it and I think it was blamed on some beurocracy issue but it took the government getting on their ass about it for them to square up the books.

Fuck, yeah. I forgot about this. Though we should also remember that USUALLY the Japanese government is strict on these kind of things (there are the exceptions ontop of Japanese autism to move around the law in some cases). Though this didn't cause a mass exodus on anything with Hololive like with what we are seeing with Vshojo right now

GEEGA has always been relatively level headed in contrast to most of her peers (Matara is in the same boat as GEEGA), but Froot constantly stepping in a pile of shit and posting the GIF is the cherry on top. Most importantly, how the hell is Froot still in the company!?

why wouldnt she be in the company? its not like they cared at all about what she did at all, and the wider community still pretends or believes she was a poor ole abused hoe

From memory I think this was about a new law that was coming in and Cover asked the government to look at their past practices to see if they would comply with the new law. It then gets published to show examples of what is or isn't allowed in the new law to others. So while it is bad they were messing those artists around they were also not hiding away from it and proactively looking to see if they comply with the law which is probably why it didn't cause a massive stink.

They got a recommendation from the JFTC about some freelance stuff and they explained their lateness (with a max thus of 1 year and 4 months) being from stuff like minor errors, revisions, etc in relation to live 2D and 3D models.
