Necroing....

I'm actually not someone who really cares about completing a game 100% and I've only done three. If I'm close to it just by playing normally, I'll try to get that 100% trophy.

Two minus mobile games.
The first one I got was Senran Kagura Estival Versus. It was surprisingly easy.

Small edit: It was piss easy. Play the main story, unlock the character episodes, do those, do a few special combos, unlock the characters that are not DLC, harass the shopkeeper, and shit like that.

The second one is the MediEvil remake. That one was more challenging. Especially the ones with the riddles and the souls, the ones where you have to kill yourself in a lot of ways including during the last boss, the ones where you have to buckle your fuckle and kill an enemy that's not supposed to be killed normally.

The money one is kinda annoying and so are the imps, the lil fuckers. The worst one is where you have to turn enemies into chicken drumsticks because the aiming is wonkey.

Edit: Word is hard.

I remembered that I've actually completed 3 games fully. Sonic Rush for the DS. But to be fair, it's not a difficult one.

I earned that Shit Crown, baby!

I don't 100% very many games, I'd rather just finish them and move on

A few come to mind:

Street Fighter x Tekken, Chrono Trigger, Pokemon Yellow (minus Mew, it doesn't really count it imo but it's 100% within normal mean).

I don't really 100% games because I mostly don't give a shit. The only exceptions are Zelda OoT and MM and Far Cry 3, for some reason. I'm also currently working on a 100% run of Pokemon Red if you can call it that.

Agreed. Last game I've 100% was South Park: The Stick of Truth. What I hate about 100% completion is that some games have missable collectibles or events through natural progression. IMO, after 100% a game, there's no reason to go back to it.

Yeah, the mere thought of going through games with missable achievements for the simple purpose of achievements makes my head ache.

Hollow Knight is an absolute bitch in these. But 100% completing the game is a notorious nightmare. All for the glory of getting 112%.

I like to replay games but fun is the one motivator for me. Shadow of the Collusus for one has missable achievements that I've actually gotten by complete accident. You cannot get these unless you do new game+ so going through the game multiple times sounds like a chore.

IMO, after 100% a game, there's no reason to go back to it.
Unless the game is a bucket of fun. I go back to Sonic games for that reason.

Edit: word

It's worse with "live service" games. It's technically impossible to 100% online only games as things get added and changed over time. Well, unless you've been playing since launch and/or have a lot of money to burn.

Technically, I've "100%" the original Overwatch. The metric I'm using for 100% is unlocking every original achievement from launch day. Since the game is PvP with 30+ heroes, that's an achievement in and of itself mastering each situational character.

My favorite is when you're playing a pretty linear game and you come to a crossroads, like a hallway where you could go left or right. Of course, both paths look identical.
If you go right, you activate a checkpoint, the door locks behind you (forever), and some big set piece starts, like a boss fight.
What happens if you go left? Well fuck you buddy, better go load an old save if you wanna find out. Sure, it could just be one piece of ammo, but you won't know unless you go buy the official Prima strategy guide look it up on the internet.

Really depends on what you mean by 100%
Generally I don't think of entirely arbitrary achievements that are unfun to unlock as part of 100%ing a game
100% games can be fun when there isn't a bunch of busy work like collecting useless items to fill out meaningless lists and stuff like that involve

I think a rare example of a game that did heavily use achievements as it's way of marking 100% completion and had a lot of random arbitrary stuff but was still actually very fun to 100% was Halo 3/ODST
Generally you were encouraged to explore and find secrets or actively break the game and the Vidmaster achievements were usually fun challenges and/or introduced new elements to missions

To actually answer the question of what games I've 100%ed, it's a lot and I can't even start to remember most of them at the moment, but most recently I 100%ed Cruelty Squad sans getting all the fish which I have slowly been chipping away at while listening to MATI

My autism manifests via wanting completion metrics. I have over 300 platinum trophies, and plant of non-platinum 100%. I enjoy RPGs and Fighting Games, but play a little bit of everything, and 100% those, because I'm retarded.

Bloodborne is literally the only game I've ever 100%ed. I love it so much I could do it all over again! I have come close with the Dark Souls games but never quite got around to the platinum trophy.

I hate when Prima fucks up with the collectables. I've been considering a new run at crackdown on the 360, Continuing the existing save would be maddening because I don't know what orbs I missed back then.

No lie, I spent $5 to get all five achievements on Avatar. So, that's a game I've "100% completed".

I got the platinum trophy for "The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria" on PS5. It was the best game I've played in a long time highly recommend it!

Got Platinum for the base game in Remnant II. Wasn't even trying, bahaha.

Now onto the DLC.
