There was an anon on 8chan a while ago who claimed to be from some sort of government agency. Aside from some words of vague encouragement, he mentioned that the government was predicting a large backlash against politically correct culture in about a decade, but recent developments like Shirtgate and Gamergate may have sped the process up somewhat. Again, it was an anon, so everything he said was unverifiable, but it's a nice thought to have.

Link/screencaps?

I just had a random thought. Not sure if it belongs here, but I cna't think of anywhere else to put it, so here goes.

As someone on the anti side claimed (I think it was Macintosh, it was a while ago), gaming's definition of fun is being misogynistic, and we're aftraid of having our beloved soggy knees and objectification of women removed from our games.
But if that's true, then why didn't we love Ride to Hell?

What makes you think he even knows about the existence of that game?

From what I can tell, he (and a lot of SJWs) think most video games are either GTA or Call of Duty.

Yeah, I've noticed this with a lot of people who are against video games, and moral guardians in general. This goes back as far as Mary Whitehouse, an infamous campaigner in the UK, who launched a private prosecution against a play she'd never even seen because of a sexual abuse scene she'd heard about.

Nearly every article I've read about gaming causing violence seems to have only glanced at the game it's talking about. A series of articles lead to Rule of Rose getting pulled from the shelves here, and I can't help thinking that their objections to it could also have been raised against Lord of the Flies.

Milo's an ass, but the fact that this tweet is going to drive the Antis fucking insane is enough for me to :1: it.

They are indeed the new Doom and Mortal Kombat.

In the future we may very well regret the exposure that these professional victims received from Gamergate; they now have far more influence in the industry, and even in the real world media, with which to twist future events to their liking. It may be that we are responsible for creating the very people who go on to destroy what we hold dear.

It seems to me they already had the social connections and the influence; GamerGate just forced them to play their hand and openly display it.

but its the kids of the next generation I worry about, what type of social culture will they grow up in?

What happened? If this was discussed earlier in the thread, could someone kindly point me to it?

I'm way too deep into this rabbit hole...search functions are your friends.

/gamergatehq/ looks nice. Seems more organised than the last board and I really like their getting started guide.

They never, ever learn, and this is why GamerGate is here to stay.

In regards to Bloodborne, the whole entitlement thing I almost feel is true since you can have those that really want it for PC (then again, I saw those from YT comments that bawwed at it being exclusive). They would have to deal with Sony since that company owns the IP. Of course, the petition itself wouldn't really say entitlement since it could and can have comments of petitioners who can mention why it would be good to have Bloodborne on PC. Either way, entitlement from gamers would have to come from something else, not some petition that just ask for a port of a console exclusive game.

True. I feel that respect is a two-way street and that the loudest and most vitriolic complaints tend to get the most attention. It's just that it boggles me how they fail to read the mood after so many months. My observation is that these "journalists" and SJWs don't want a dialogue, they want a pulpit.

Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is?

I checked the petition (archived) and to be fair there does seem to be a bit of unwarranted entitlement.
The petition said:
Everyone should be able to play your game. It is not fair that we are left out. You have betrayed us after releasing your last two games on PC.
Marko Pezelj said:
If you are making a 'real game for real game lovers', then release it on all platforms so all the game lovers can enjoy it.

Or are you simply lying about that and making a game that will help Sony with its greedy tactics that are practically forcing to buy a whole fucking console in order to play a single game.

Not only that, but you release Dark Souls 1 & 2 on PC, and now take you the Souls series away from us?

Disgusting!

I really hope you people make the right choice!
Of course, there are also people who bring up good points.
Sebastián Troncoso said:
Both Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2 have boosted FromSoftware thanks to their cross platform releases. An exclusive, at this point, is stupid.
But it's typical of the media to focus on the negative and ignore the positive. *sigh*

Agreed. After all we're supposed to "listen and believe" and not look into things any further. Why?
LISTEN AND BELIEVE!!!1!!

Clearly this man is a paragon of intelligence. Only he could come up with a solution like that, and no other solution (Like, say, stop insulting Gamergaters so they both are more willing to understand your point of view since they are being treated nicely and thus don't have anything to convince them that Anti-GGs cannot be discussed with.) would work nearly as well as his solution.

I am being sarcastic, of course.
