I'm guessing it's not just because this guy's really sore about being several hundred years too late to join the Spanish Inquisition? He sounds like a nutter.

HOW WE GOT ROLLED BY THE DISHONEST FASCISTS OF GAMERGATE
The only thing I can hope is that SJWs will end up dying off like the hippies or what ever and that this just a generational phase.Listen to this man. He speaks truth, and fights for your freedom.
If the argument here is that a game should never ever be criticized unless you're doing it by not buying the game, then I'm afraid I'm going to have to disagree. If nothing else, that kind of thinking hurts the developers more than it helps them. Video games take a long time to make, and publishers sink a lot of money into making just one of them, so having their audience keep hush about what they don't like about their game until it's too late to do anything about it can only be bad news for them. If a lot of people hated a feature that they could easily have left on the cutting room floor, I'm sure they'd be glad to know about it, at least I would if my ability to eat hinged upon the success of my game.
I can understand if people are being assholes about it and flaming their inbox or filling their twitter mentions with obnoxious insults, but that's just being an all-around jerk. You're trying to tell me that the simple act of letting Nintendo know that you're disappointed by Tomodachi Life because they didn't bother to consider the differences between Japanese and American culture before localizing it in the US is the cancer that's killing the video game industry. That's what I don't understand. I'd be 100% behind you if you said we should tone it down and not be so forceful about it, try to be more civil, but here it just sounds like you don't want anyone to have a voice at all unless they agree with your point of view on how social issues should be handled in games.
The only thing I can hope is that SJWs will end up dying off like the hippies or what ever and that this just a generational phase.
You don't seem to be getting what I'm trying to say here. If you think I'm saying that people that I disagree with should be silence your dead wrong. There is subjective criticism and then there is objective. Artist/Writer can grown upon objective and constructive criticisms to help them improve on their work, then there is subjective criticism, If there is something you don't like because of personal taste then you don't have the right to FORCE a writer to make their work what you want it to be. What SJWs are doing is forcing people to give up their artist integrity for example they want a minority to be the main character when the writer wants to make it what they want.
Let's use an Artist's drawing style for example of what I'm trying to convey. An artist can and should be criticized for drawing characters badly no matter what style they use so they can improve upon their skills and make their art better. A person should be allowed to draw kind of style they want whether they use western or Anime way of drawing their characters but they still need to draw proportionality correct and to keep details consistent but if a talented artist that can draw good likes to draw in say an Anime style or whatever and you don't like that style personally doesn't mean can force them the drawing what you want when it's their work.
There are something that can be changed like the Tomodachi incident, some people had a point when saying that they should have allowed gay marriage even if the game was already a year old when it was released in the western market but the way that they went about arguing it by saying Nintendo was homophobic and tat they wereworse than Westboro is the wrong way of doing it. You need to learn to turn down the fucking attitude and to quit demonizing when giving people constructive criticism.
That's the main problem with the damn SJWs. They are willing to demonized and slander by anyone by calling them misogynist, homophobes, racists or any other thing that they can think of to shame you and try to turn everyone against you just because they don't like what doesn't match their warped ideals.
Mail the company who is producing the game and ask politely why there haven't been any female characters available [recently], and whether they could consider inserting one next game, NOT go on the news and declare them to be misogynists for not having thought about it at all.Second, suppose for a moment you were someone who really liked a game, or a series, but had a subjective criticism for a recent game that's in development, you'd really like to see a female character option for the next installment of the series. What would you do? Or, perhaps, what would you recommend someone in that situation to do?
Sounds like something pre-jenkem Tyce would write.Well now Nissan seems to be ready to follow Mercedes, BMW, and Adobe in pulling ads from Gawker....and gawker is fcking pissed as all hell

Do these people know any shame? From the article said:Last week, a Gawker writer tweeted "bring back bullying." He, and later I, made the tactical mistake of publicly treating Gamergate with the contempt and flippancy that it deserves.
Keep on sending those e-mails, people! From the article said:I've been told that we've lost thousands of dollars already, and could potentially lose thousands more, if not millions.

See, with the former, you are right to be disappointed if the response is 'we don't do it because we don't want to'. They're actively stating a position of misogyny. With the latter, you're assuming there's misogyny at hand when the possibility of 'wait, we didn't think of it' is always there. Just ask the Power Rangers guys who didn't realize they were accidental racists. [We don't know all the people who applied, nor what their interests for a Black Ranger and a Yellow Ranger were. Maybe they had Zack and Trini's characters already picked and not the costumes.]
This is part of why #GamerGate's ad removal campaign is working. Private messages can do things more strongly than using the media.
Do these people know any shame?
So by that logic, if I mailed a company and asked if they'd consider putting a male character into the next game (let's say Bayonetta 3) and they said 'we don't want to because we don't want to', would that be misandry then?Mail the company who is producing the game and ask politely why there haven't been any female characters available [recently], and whether they could consider inserting one next game, NOT go on the news and declare them to be misogynists for not having thought about it at all.

The forum itself is run by the same dude who runs that Return Of Kings troll website. The guy who challenged Sam to a fight is a frequent poster there. His username is MikeCF.
The fact that these dudes came up with the hashtag #FatShamingWeek and are putting together spreadsheets of your advertisers' contact information so that people can easily alert them to Sam's bullying tweet is unfuckingbelievable.

Basically. Plus you can't declare misandry because of a lack of male characters in the medium is not the case.I think what he meant was if the reason was only that they didn't feel like it, but that they could otherwise easily work it into the game, then you might have a better case of misogyny/misandry. For Bayonetta 3, I'd say the reason would be that the series is very character driven, and that the main protagonist is not only well established in the public eye but also iconic to the series, and that they don't feel like shoe-horning a male protagonist into it would work.
Quick couple of questions. First, what do you mean by "force a writer/artist/dev"? My understanding is that, even if a company is being roundly criticized for something, they aren't obligated to even take that criticism into consideration, legally or otherwise. Any orders a writer or artist is given would come from their management only.
Second, suppose for a moment you were someone who really liked a game, or a series, but had a subjective criticism for a recent game that's in development, you'd really like to see a female character option for the next installment of the series. What would you do? Or, perhaps, what would you recommend someone in that situation to do?
