All the shit that the house went through. I'd say get rid of the house and turn it into land.
Depending on if the foundations of the house are still sound or not. We know for sure that apart from putting holes in the plaster walls with his head, he wasn't doing any handy man work or tampering with the house in any other way, and as long as the hoarding hasn't caused the flooring to accumulate mold and potentially cause the house to start rotting away, then there should be no big reason to demolish it.

It may be in hicksville but I'm sure it would be picked up by some interested buyer, for house flipping or just as a shitty rental house to own for side income or whatever, the costs of demolishing it may not even be worth it.

The mold will be a huge issue. There is a very real chance there is major mold issues, along with some structural damage.

The bank might legit be better off bulldozing, and just letting some one buy it to extend their property given property history. The history of the place will always lead to weens visiting/calling.

Who still has a land line phone these days?

On the contrary, I can see the new owners being all, "What the actual fuck?" when all the neighbors drop by with welcoming gifts of homemade banana bread and cookies to thank them for taking over the property.
On the subject of landlines, it's not uncommon for businesses to keep landlines. But when they hear where it's being delivered to, I don't think they'd be too keen to deliver.

"Alright, so extra pepperoni, Got it. Can I get an Address?"
"14 Branchland Court, Ruckersville, Virgini-"
"I don't have time for this shit. Fifteen goddamn years we've been dealing with this"

I know businesses that still have fax machines. No clue who they send faxes to, but they have them. But we're talking about residential service.

There is that. But I think the employee turnover rate is large enough at most deliver places that it won't be a problem for long. I mean if you've been a dominoes driver for the full duration of Christory, likely you're too jaded with your life to give a fuck at this point.

Build a monument. The Chris Chandler Memorial for Victims of Incest Rape.

Build a store that specializes in supplies for sex with the elderly and disabled.

The "Christine Chandler One-Stop Healing Shop"

Even relatively bad mold doesn't really affect the lumber frame or concrete much. You can just tear all the drywall out, spray/sandblast the wood and concrete, then repanel everything.

Kiwis have speculated that since the house got fixed up after the fire it’s probably not as bad as we think it is, especially if the bones are solid. There’s been some in depth discussion.
Yeah but they also left garbage bags full of shit still wet from the fire hoses in the house long enough for The Classic to rot. I would think if parts of the house were allowed to stay wet for long periods, the house could be super fucked.

Ok, so I didn't get to see the thread where this was discussed (if it is in this one I cannot find exactly where) but I heard something about Barbara moving out of 14 Branchland Court or the house being possibly sold are some shit like that. Was that legit or just some troll or ween's attempt at being funny?

No one is too sure, last written account I saw was inconclusive but noted it felt like lights and fans were on in 20 degrees weather at 11pm almost like it was just leaving pretend signs of life.

Nobody has provided any recent updates, so the facts on the ground are still very much unknown. On one hand, it's good that weens are staying away, on the other hand, it means there's a dearth of information.

It would be nice if some well-behaved field reporters went and documented through legal behavior, without doing anything obnoxious.

I've seen decades old mobile homes still pull through with absolute bare minimum maintenance. I'm talking collapsed ceilings and hardcore mold and water damage on top of hoarding, but people would still slap on a quick fix and live in them like nothing happened.

The house will be fine, physically speaking. There's no reason for demolition unless they want to build something over it. 14BC can easily get flipped and rented by an investor. I can honestly see some rich Christorian picking it up and renting it as an airbnb to autists who are way too invested in Chris.

This. And local property values will only go up with Chris and Barb gone.

EDIT: It truly is astounding how financially awful the Chandlers are that you can make money simply by not being one of them.

I'd buy the house and the surrounding lots. Demolish the properties and build a small apartment complex. Call it Snyder Estates for maximum Chris seethe.

Prior to demolition, go through the house. Put any collectables in storage with plans to sell at 5,000% markup when the inevitable Netflix documentary comes out.

If the weens want to help Chris, they can start scheduling midnight religious services at Patti's grave. Chris is going to need to get the house declared tribal religious ground with federal protection. Having regular services at the site will help that.

There might be another practical reason for the lights and fans being on in 20 degree weather. If you were tasked with cleaning out the hoarder house, the lights would be left on so you don't trip over anything on re-entry. The house probably stinks. The exhaust fans in the bathrooms, kitchen, and elsewhere would be left on to circulate the air. A couple of inconspicuous windows might even have been left cracked open.

So the plebbitor may have been describing a cleaning operation without realising? Interesting.

The biggest thing going for 14BC not being leveled as soon as the bank gets full ownership is the post-fire rebuild. However, we should not underestimate what damage the Chandlers can do - the rental they stayed in while 14BC was being repaired was, following the departure of the Chandlers, noticeably left vacant for months which for a rental property is obscene as that means it isn't making money, and thus there had to be something truly wrong going on such that the landlord wouldn't want paying residents in it. Sure, 14BC's structure might be serviceable still but between what ungodly bullshit has been left to fester in that house since the rebuild and the rest of the cleanup work on the grounds such as what to do with Mr. C's abandoned dreamshack, a complete refurbishment is not out of the question simply to purge it further. Patti's doghouse is almost 100% going to be scrapped.

In fact, it may not be entirely out of the question that what we're seeing now, with the fans and lights, could be the house being prepared to be put back on the market since cleaning it out as much as possible will improve the price the realtor might offer. Without a doubt Barb is no longer in control of what's happening at the house and getting rid of it would be a massive problem being taken off the hands of whoever is taking care of Barb, and Chris is just a matter they've washed their hands of entirely.

I recall some time back Chris ended up making an angry facebook post about how he tried to order pizza from Papa Johns and was told point blank they don't take phone orders for that address anymore, so he 'had to risk his life by getting into his car and driving there' (his words) only to have a three page packet filled with nothing but fake phone orders specifically for 14BC (all the work of weens of course) shoved in his face as proof.

It's not worth the rezoning and permits.

I'm pretty sure they meant ceiling fans, which are easy to see if they're running, not exhaust fans, which are hard to observe
from outside the house.

The ceiling fans are probably running because the house wasn't wired for ceiling fans. They turn on with the lights (because nobody can be bothered with the pull-cords on the fans).

left vacant for months

It would have been a lot more than a basic clean and touch-up. They probably had to strip out and replace all the carpet, seal the structure, repair the drywall, and repaint everything. The work itself probably didn't take long, but it can be very hard these days to schedule and coordinate the various contractors, especially if they're any good (and therefore busy).

all the work of weens of course

Can you see the weens continuing to take such interest in the address once Chris is no longer living there and they're not getting feedback over the internet for their "trolling"? Also some places let you establish a "code word" to prove your bona fides - restaurants run too tight a margin to turn away legitimate business. Likely Chris isn't smart enough to remember a code word, or the Papa Johns knew him too well to offer the option.
