I have my doubts the house itself can be sold in its current state. A hoard like that can put a significant load on the building, and the foundation can't be terribly structurally sound after the fire, repaired or not.

Not to mention the significant water damage the walls and flooring have, considering how much of their shit is still wet from the firefighting effort.

That building will get leveled the second Barb dies and the reverse mortgage kicks in.
There is no chance that Barb and Chris have done sufficient damage to prevent the house from simply being sold as-is. Whether or not someone would want to live in it is another question entirely, but there is no way there is substantial structural damage or anything to prevent even selling the house and the lot. Maybe there is a mold issue which could be considered dangerous, but the idea that Barb's hoard damaged the structure or foundation is absurd.

it can with all the moisture underneath.

the house was never dried before the repairs. the hoard wasn't removed to set up fans n shit. if it was we'd have hours of video of freaks rummaging through it at night. way more than just the dumpster divers.

there's gotta be rats too.

you're right about selling it though. there's no law saying you can't sell a condemned pile of shit, right? you just can't live in it.

part of me worries that if barb dies her pets will eat her corpse

its either that or assimilating into the hoard

I think someone said someone else is taking care of one of the pets right now. Dunno if they've brought them back to Barb. Since she just leaves them in the house all day and not take them out.

Not that I am really doubting it's dead but could it just be sleeping?

If it is dead I hope it was quick and Barb does the right thing but we all know that wont happen.
I'm presuming the poster walked right up to the cat to probably confirm that it was dead, or he saw it from a distance that it probably isn't alive after just lying there motionless. That's a pretty awkward position for a cat to be sleeping in with its stomach exposed.

cats don't lay like that, you can tell bones have been broken to be contorted in the way it is. its head is shoved backwards. beyond the cats limits.

its very dead.

As a Cat owner it makes my blood boil to see honestly
