Nah if he didn't walk as a starter onto that field there would've been an issue. USMNT had their hands tied on this and to argue anything else is cope. Had they not started him you would've had amerimutts saying "USMNT is WOKE and hates Trump! Boycott! Boycott! Boycott!"The "there were plans without him" cope makes no sense. they could have simply subbed him out or started the game without him and only subbed him in when it was absolutely necessary.
As a keeper at a very recreational level (lets go beer leagues) I am a huge advocate for stepping out of the box and getting on top of the ball. The science is in your favor for most balls: If it's coming towards you the odds of you getting to the ball before the striker are in your favor. They're chasing and the ball is coming to you. His issue was deciding to play with the ball instead of clearing it in what was clearly a hot box. Had he just gone for a full clear and hit the ball, even if he had butchered the kick, he would've removed the ball from a dangerous spot and had time to reset. His issue wasn't the aggression, but rather the hesitation that followed. It led to a mistake that would not have happened otherwise, and you can see how it cost a goal. The defender who stepped in front of the goal also butchered the play. Defense is typically supposed to, at that point, put their hands behind their back and keep themselves square and big (or just beam that ball with a fist and eat the red card like a national hero. at that point it's the goalies problem in a penalty kick). Him having his feet off the ground as the ball is kicked guarantees he isn't going to defend that ball. The goalie going for the ball when the defenders are no where close and the attacker is right there was the correct call. He fumbled the clearing strike and then passed it back and to the side were the attacker was. He made two awful mistakes in like 3 seconds.
>MexicoTrue football heritage here. Their fans wants to win at any costs, even the slightest way to incur and make them irritated is true. It is a fan way to support their team. Just like chanting EEEEEEEEEHHHH PUTO is part of mexican sports culture.
Now the American government rigging the Iran ENTIRE actual talent is something much worse because it isn't done by fans doing this to help their team win even by a little it is done by the actual hosts in a malicious way.

LMAO retard, those beaners have never gotten to quarter finals, unlike the US.
Those retards were chanting "Ole" in the first three minutes on a 0-0 score, when the defense was going back and forth.
They got good boxers but that's about it.
Nah soccer is more fluid than that. Keepers are expected to step forward to receive a ball, and if the full back has a brain they will run past the play to cover the goal. It's simple science:Which begs the question why the the goalie was in front outside the box while the fullback was in the box in front of the goal in the first place. That sort of play would get you bitched out by the coach if you were playing in a girls under 10 recreation league.
Messing up with their sleep is football heritage, not mexico themselves.>Mexico

Boycott.... what? Who would give a shit about boycotting if they won(or played better)? And will they not "boycott" now?Nah if he didn't walk as a starter onto that field there would've been an issue. USMNT had their hands tied on this and to argue anything else is cope. This cheered me up, but this is a futball thread so i have no choice but to give you a politisperg sticker chud!If any of my fellow Americans are actually upset about the niggerball game, let me remind you that European leaders cope and seethe so hard about Our President that they had to get together for a group therapy session.

So tldr is that the play wasn't bad, they just botched the execution so hard that it looked absolutely retarded?Nah soccer is more fluid than that. Keepers are expected to step forward to receive a ball, and if the full back has a brain they will run past the play to cover the goal. It's simple science:
Ball is coming in, keeper rushes to it, he is going to clash with the striker, this gives the full back, who is now in full motion towards the goal the opportunity to continue at full speed to get into position to cover the goal. His issue was not knowing what to do when he got there.
Yes. Quite literally looked like the keeper, who got to the ball as he was supposed to, clipped the ground and bobbled (very bad mistake), which led to the Belgian (who was aware and good) to leap at the opportunity of a live ball and set his teammate up for success. The fullback (who did a fantastic job covering space while the keeper took it) then appeared surprised the keeper messed up and tried to put himself between the goal and the ball, but he just sorta impotently jumped instead of getting in front of the ball.So tldr is that the play wasn't bad, they just botched the execution so hard that it looked absolutely retarded?
Yep, the alternative to the goalie staying put would be a one on one with the attacker and those usually end in a goal.So tldr is that the play wasn't bad, they just botched the execution so hard that it looked absolutely retarded?
The TLDR is that like in every sport when your offense can't maintain ball control or score points, eventually the defense makes mistakes and crumbles. The score speaks for itself but make no mistake, the only shots they took in the second half were in the last 10 minutes. They went about 30-40 minutes where they just couldn't get anywhere within scoring distance. Their answer to that was neither to drive or keep repositioning for openings, but rather punt the ball and hope for the best. They really just didn't know what to do to penetrate the defense. So tldr is that the play wasn't bad, they just botched the execution so hard that it looked absolutely retarded?
The US has invested trillions to develop AIs to answer these superficial, factual questions with ease, yet that isn't enough to educate your nigger brain. We reached quarter finals in 1970 and 1986.LMAO retard, those beaners have never gotten to quarter finals, unlike the US.
One of the beauties of soccer is that the keeper does have the privilege and ability to step out of the box and participate on the field. It allows for all in strategies where the keeper plays up and helps apply pressure, or allows for one last all in play when the defensive line fails. Aggressive keeping IMO is far more interesting and the more efficient way to play. in my own experience strikers have no clue what to do when you're charging them. it throws them off and puts the pressure back on them to make a move rather than for you to manage the block. The point of the keeper is to make it as difficult for the opponent to score before they even take a shot.Yep, the alternative to the goalie staying put would be a one on one with the attacker and those usually end in a goal.
Welp misrembered that, it was semi finals, not quarter, point still stands wetback. The US has invested trillions to develop AIs to answer these superficial, factual questions with ease, yet that isn't enough to educate your nigger brain. We reached quarter finals in 1970 and 1986.

I am grateful for Mexico fans. Not just because I find them amusing (which I do), but because they are strategically convenient. No matter how bad it gets in the UK with all the PSAs you see about domestic violence going up when England loses, at least England cares enough to report it as a crime. Wifebeating is just the norm in Mexico.>Mexico

In all my time watching Team USA over the last like 16 years, there is one immutable truth - when the chips are down they will just fucking choke.
Unless someone decides to shit itself in the few games that are left this is going to be the biggest clown moment of the entire tournament. Might be the only one so far, this cup has been surprisingly clean of fucktarded blooper momments and the level of goalkeepers has been specially high. That guy is not going to live it down for a while. The fuck even is this?
Mexicans are fanatical and obsessed about futbol but suck terribly at it. The Mexican league is surreal, full stadiums of diehard fans foaming at the mouth over some of the worst futbol matches you have ever seen.>Mexico
