You say that, but Formula 1 is just as popular and we don't see a 'murican champion. If anything, the Brits keep hoarding all the trophies.

The Ford GT victories at Le Mans shows that at least the potential was always there.

As much as I liked NASCAR (before Bill France went full retard), you guys need to start cranking out racecar drivers.

While I understand that sentiment, the tournament could have happened in north korea, and whoever won would have been accused of bribing FIFA or being Infantino's bitch, see Qatar 2022 and Argentina.

Turner did indeed start against Turkey. I don't know why they didn't have Freese up there instead. Maybe to prevent injury. I've heard that since the US was playing their much-worse B team, they didn't want Freese's confidence to be affected by their poor performance.

If savvy race people are looking at it, the next Mario Andretti or Max Verstappen will come from the American dirt track racers. There's a whole racing culture, untapped.

Then only way that the US could win this tournament would be to imprison every single other player from all teams.

But seeing that Trump had his talk with FIFA and actually worked for Balogun card. I wouldn't think it is far fetched.

And note that this is just two cups after RUSSIA AND QATAR, and even THEY didn't involve themselves in anything match related.

The red card thing should not have happened, it sullied an ok presentation of the american team.

But the best thing ever: both C. Ronaldo and Neymar will never win a World Cup, and that brings me joy. I don't know if Messi can get another one, but seeing two crybabies getting nothing and their greatest rival already far above them is great.
