I'll give my shit takes, even though we aren't even 2 games in quite yet for every team:So far in the group stage which teams have surprised people? I’m talking both good and bad.
Europeans discovering America has been a recurring theme of this World Cup. For many young Euro's, this is the first time they've ever been in North America and apparently its blowing their minds. I dunno how much of it is real, and how much of it is just content slop for clicks. But I do appreciate the glazing. Also the story of the Scottish taking over Boston, Drinking all the beer and generally having a good time, and now the entire city is rooting for the Scottish national team? That is definitely true.I enjoy how anytime the game is at a Texas stadium you will see foreign fans with cowboy hats, be they novelty or real. Glad people are enjoying themselves.
Surprises: The heroics of Cape Verde and Curacao, who I don't think anyone expected to get any points. Scotland getting points and New Zealand currently leading its group. They may have Haaland, but is nice to be optimistic about Norway. So far in the group stage which teams have surprised people? I’m talking both good and bad.
It is kinda sad that it was an Oceania team the weakest confederation but good gor them.Holy shit an actual win in the world cup(Egypt's first ever I think). I wasn't even watching the match I just woke up to very loud cheering in the street after the second goal.
GG Kiwis and gl vs Belgium.
Maybe some is fake, but not all!!Americans here watch videos and tweets of Europeans attending the world cup exaggerate their reactions to stuff in the US, thinking they're somehow genuine and circlejerk themselves.
America is definitely getting some great PR from this. For once, the propaganda veil is being lifted!I must be feeling sappy today, but it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling to see Europeans, especially the ones who are attending games in the South, enjoying our culture and our food and apparently, if only for a few weeks, opening their minds to see the good in our culture and our people and forgetting about Orange Man Bad for a while.
What is ranch? The funniest PR has been Germans discovering ranch to the point Hidden Valley is making airline travel packets to sell.

What is ranch?
This is what I mean.
Its a blend of Olive oil and Buttermilk (real ranch, and not the fake shit made from Soybean Oil and Milk byproduct). And then spiked with every Italian herb you have heard of (Basil, Oregano, Garlic, Rosemary, etc). A true collision of German and Italian cookery that can only occur in America. Especially since there are no olive groves in America. Trading for the win. It was initially marketed as a salad dressing but has since transcended space and time and is now an ingredient in and of itself alongside Worstechire Sauce, Fish Sauce, Soy Sauce etc. Ranch is essentially "the" American Sauce that goes in a shit ton of recipes. Still works good as a salad dressing though. And by itself as a condiment. What is ranch?
