>commentator duo of foid and american man

Foids are already terrible commentators, they're just not suited for the booth man. Stick to being sideline reporters, please. I don't want to hear you shrieking through the match. And an American commentator on a football game never sounds right, in much the same way as a British guy would sound strange commentating over an NFL game. Can we just have an endless surplus of 60-year-old Brits to commentate every football game? Nobody does it like them.

Today's 60-year-old Brits are far more exciting to listen to than the 60-year-old Brits of yesteryear. Back in the day, I preferred the broadcasts in Spanish since those guys actually seemed to be into the match vs. the Brits. "Oh, there's Smith with space on the wing. He plays it into Jones, and...there's the goal." Way to make it sound like you're recording the audiobook version of a gardening manual.

Who are these old weirdos doing fake Scottish accents who've shown up now

Are they from Ghana

Seriously? What do they think Americans don’t even work or they buy in to talking points that America is so poor?
Americans here watch videos and tweets of Europeans attending the world cup exaggerate their reactions to stuff in the US, thinking they're somehow genuine and circlejerk themselves. It's the same thing with those "American reacts to [Insert European/Asian thing here]" videos on youtube.

The European Derangement Syndrome expressed by many posters here is a mirror image to the Europeans with American Derangement Syndrome everywhere else.

So essentially it's both slop content feeding the algorithm

I can't help but noticing every member of the Japanese national team is Japanese.

Allot of Western European national sides have benefitted from the North and West African invasion into their homelands...

...but at what cost, bros?

But even Japan has a black goalkeeper which might be the most bizarre thing about international football tbh.

I enjoy how anytime the game is at a Texas stadium you will see foreign fans with cowboy hats, be they novelty or real. Glad people are enjoying themselves.

I must be feeling sappy today, but it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling to see Europeans, especially the ones who are attending games in the South, enjoying our culture and our food and apparently, if only for a few weeks, opening their minds to see the good in our culture and our people and forgetting about Orange Man Bad for a while. I'm sure the era of good feeling will be over by Labor Day but for now it's nice.
