So far, all South American teams have failed to show proper footy skills. The least bad was Brazil, and even then it was far below expected.

Let's see if Uruguay, Colombia and especially Argentina can turn things around.

I decide which team I support based on how much I like the kit, Japan v Holland (They're calling it the former indonesian coloniser derby) was the easiest decision so far the dutch one looks terrible

Sweden v Tunisia currently 1-0 to the swedes, I've missed sweden at major tournaments just happy to see them again

Before the Germany - Curaçao match yesterday, a VAR made the 4chan OK (white power) hand gesture while appearing on live broadcast. The "Football Against Racism in Europe network" is trying to get him fired.

Isn’t that just a children’s game? If anybody looks at your finger hole when you make that gesture below your waist, they lose “the game”. If however they manage to put their finger inside without looking, they win.

I follow some 4chan memes but this one I’ve not heard of before. Sucks if he just wanted to win a silly game…
 
Rumour has it that Tunisia sacked their head coach after last night's thrashing. Yet to be confirmed in serious news outlets.

Yeah, we were doing it back in the early 2000's. And it was probably being done way before us. If you looked at it you were a fag. That's it. 4chan if I remember correctly were just looking for any way to troll mainstream media and Acceptable Leftie Good Person Sensibilities™️ when virtue signaling was at a fever pitch and came up with the sign from a goofy little kids game and forced the people they were trolling into doing what they always do: cry racism. Because everything that isn't sucking tranny dick to lefties are a hate symbol and you must hate minorities.

It's been a dead issue for years now though and I've seen people left, right, and center (not in political terms, just as in everywhere) doing it. It's just the universal hand sign for "yeah, this is pretty good". Chef's do it, musicians do it, youtubers do it, your granny probably does it. The ref was probably trolling and nothing more. So of course some toothless European organization will be up in arms over it lol.
