both mclarens have dropped 2 places from starting position. lando to 3rd, oscar to 7th. albon just hit hamilton too lmao.

i think it says a lot about the quality of this race that there wasn't a post made in 24 minutes until the last lap (just now).

boring shit. max closing in on piastri. good weekend for mercedes, they'll pull further ahead of ferrari who were shit again, despite leclercs best efforts.
 
In the end it got boring with most positions being fixed. Still the early laps were entertaining. And Antonelli on the oldest tyres being faster then both Piastri and Leclerc. Not bad at all. Though I fear Verstappen will be out of the fighjt next race unless Norris does a 2007 Hamilton move

Mercedes as a whole, but Kimi especially on one set of tyres, did an amazing job. Crazy defence work. Happy with podium, personally. That's also the first live race I've ever seen and it was awesome.

Glad you enjoyed it. But if you thought that race was awesome you will definitely enjoy some of the more intense races. We have had a couple this year. Hopefully we get one more in the final 2.

I don't care enough to go back and rewatch the race, but how come Hamilton made no impact after pitting for mediums?

He seemed okay on the Hards for the first stint, I expected him to make ground on the mediums.
 
Yeah that was strange. At the end Ocon got really close to him as well while Hülkenberg who also was on Mediums pulled away. Maybe he overdrove them in the first part. Leclerc also lost a lot of pace, antonelli managed to stay ahead despite a 5 second penalty. Maybe the old Ferrari issue, lift and coast to preserve the plank?
