Do people genuinely believe lando has anywhere near the potential oscar has or is that just cope? Like max being max most often is just him bullying people based on his autistic passion for motorpsorts and it's rules. Seldom is it out of despersation, it has been but usually only when his car his truly fucked or he's compromised in major way. Today just felt like he was afraid of Oscar. Not even desperate in the sense that he has the fast car but desperate in the sense that Oscar will win a world championship easily in that car if no one brings anything better.

It felt different than the normal win at all costs shit it felt like max was defending because he knows losing in inevitable. Witch is a crazy change in his race craft. Maybe I'm thinking too much into and hopefully redbull brings a better car for him. But as things is piastri is gonna run away with this thing. It's impressive how quickly he's come to form. Very cool head and he's learned maxs game already he handled that well. It almost felt like he baited max into it. Idk he dealt with it great something Norris still hasn't figure out and gets rattled by. He's clearly the better of the two idk how anyone could say otherwise.

I think the part I dislike most about your profoundly stupid post is that I'm gonna like look a hamilton fan by just pointing this out. As much as everyone here (me included) can say he's washed and a DEI nigger, he's still the face of F1 especially to people who don't actively watch it.

You can’t seriously be using Instagram followers as a proxy for name recognition. Ask strangers if they know what Ferrari is and if they know who Lewis Hamilton is and most people will only answer the former correctly.

Ferrari’s brand is orders of magnitude more well known than Lewis’.

It's all social media combined and it's from end of 2024 so yeah, captain DEI is 39million only on instagram right now so it's pretty out of date. You wanted "people outside of F1" - these are the best numbers you're going to get. And it's the F1 team, not the brand as a whole.

If what I read is true Ferrari stocks rose when Hamilton was signed and when he made his first tour of the legendary site. So for publicity he is definetly a net plus. But in terms of racing he seems to be out of it. Leclerc has so far won every race duel (even China when his car was damaged since lap 1) and the gap has bcome quiet big. Bahrain made Hamilton look good because of the safety car but Leclerc was pulling away even when he was duking it out with Norris. Normally duels cost time but even then Hamilton couldn't keep up. And yesterday with Hamilton going "woe is me I don't know what to do" after the race you have to wonder how this will continue. I mean ffs his replacement at Mercedes is almost routinely faster and he comes out of a rather mediocre F2 season. Maybe they arew hoping for the rule changes in 2026 but remember Aston has Newey while allegedly Mercedes seems to have the best engine for 2026.

When Nike signed Michael Jordan that wasn’t the case. Jordan was the most popular athlete in the entire US and the non-sports press constantly talked about him. Nike was a small shoe company that most people had never heard of. Ferrari is the most iconic car brand in the entire world.

Nike also didn’t pay Jordan much, they offered him $2.5 million ($7.8 million today) over five years and a 25% royalty of every “Jordan” shoe sold. In comparison, Ferrari offered Hamilton $100 million a year plus a $400 million retirement bonus.

It’s a bad deal and Lewis does not have a large enough non-overlapping fan base to justify it. Shohei Ohtani’s contract is $700 million over 10 years (which is less than Lewis per year), but he’s the national hero of Japan and actually sold enough merch and tickets to pay his salary, a feat that I doubt Lewis did. Lewis’ fangirls are nowhere near rich enough to buy Ferraris and Ferrari already sells fewer cars than they have demand for.
 
think you guys trying to crunch the numbers are missing the point. ferrari needed a marketable and reasonably consistent driver who can stand next to leclerc without too obviously being the #2 which hamilton with his history is. hes a better pick than someone like sainz, no offense to sainz i do like him. the problem is that hamilton is an obvious outsider and he isnt even slightly interested in returning the respect ferrari clearly has for his past successes by at least pretending to be into the ferrari tradition and all the italian shit like i said before. hamilton loves having his asshole rimmed by the entire anglo f1 scene and his instagram followers, he relishes being the token nigger of f1 and his only goal is to keep that particular gravy train going, he has no time to be part of a "family" of white europeans. unlike mercedes where he was able to leverage his autism and focus on building the best car and getting wins while independently developing his own cult of personality, in ferrari thats not enough.

i imagine if youre italian youre probably pretty fucking disappointed by how hamilton is treating ferrari even more than youre disappointed by his unimpressive results.
 
You retards do know that when they announced they signed Hamilton the resulting increase in stock value meant that their market cap went up by 7 billion dollars right? Saying nobody knows Lewis Hamilton is just internet cope because you don't like niggers.

Just because jogger driver is washed and without Toto and merc engineers carrying him never would have been anything big doesn't mean he isn't a huge marketing machine outside of F1 now they did carry him.

Ferrari sure as shit didn't pay him the big money to be their guy when they have Charles, it was a business play rather than a sporting one. Ferrari don't need advertising among F1 fans, the idea is marketing beyond that. Tap into the murican jogger demographic and there's money to be made. Ferrari is not cool in that world, just look at the rappers they idolise, they go on about Merc, Lambo, hell even Cadillac gets more "cred" with that lot. Slap 44 on some shit and market it to the ghetto crowd using some of hambone's rich jogger mates and instant licence to sell crap Chinese shit for huge markups to idiots.

I was so hurt, as a McLaren fan, when they had redditardo and went full globohomo. It was embarrassing to like them. Seems they've stepped away from it now, especially with Trump being Zak's special guest at Miami. With any luck we'll see him again this year.
