Damn, that car was pretty much parallel with the wall on impact. How much worse are side impacts than frontal or rear impacts? Intuitively, it seems like having the nose to cushion the impact is better but idk about shunts from behind.
They can be very nasty but now that everyone's got a HANS device, basal skull fractures aren't much of a problem these days. That said, he's gonna be feeling it for the whole weekend.

Who gives a fuck about what Reddit people think? I hope Tsunoda will have a decent race. Red bull under current leadership will continue making idiotic decisions, it's in Horners and Markos blood.

I do, because I distinctly remember a few years ago seeing someone claiming to work for Liberty Media or FOM posting in r/formula1 asking these retards what changes they'd like to see in F1. IIRC some of their ideas were actually implemented in some fashion.

Do the teams choose who gives up a seat for a practice session when someone is brought in?
I worded that poorly, but basically I'm wondering why Doohan wasn't driving in FP1 - surely he'd need the extra session more than Gasly.

Each driver (or car of the driver gets swapped I suppose) has to miss a minimum 2 practice sessions a season for testing (by a maximum of 3 different drivers per team). The intent is for rookie drivers to get an opportunity to test out the current cars as they can't any other time.

For whatever reason they already declared this would be one Doohan sits out. It might be because this is a track he knows well so they dont think he needs it as much as at other tracks, it may be because the test driver had some sponsor especially paying for them to drive a test at this track, or it might be to get the two out the way so Colapinto gets to do every practice once they make the swap.

FP3 in 15 mins if anyone cares.

Tsunoda shitting all over Verstappen, he's happy with the car on the radio, while Verstappen keeps complaining on the radio about massive understeer.

Ferraris doing great despite running higher heights after the DSQ fiasco, Russell doing a Kimi 2007, while the 2025 Kimi is flopping hard, Both RB's faster than Max, he's gonna be pissed after this on the review.

Track burning up more than the firebombing of tokyo.
Seems verstappen finally fixed his setup though, strong show by Ferrari and Russell, Mclaren on 1-2.

Mclaren’s swallow max up by lap 3. Simply because they don’t have to worry about Red Bull strategy. They have 1 car.

Also Hadjar and Kimi are best rookies since Piastri. I love that Hadjar cooked Lawson after everyone said Hadjar was shit headed into the year
