D2S tard here. How skewed is the storytelling? like they haven't mentioned Lewis the last 2 seasons, all Max, yet every now and then you'll see Lewis winning something as if unnoteworthy. "Oh man this washed up retard nobody loser P12 faggot won!!! Amazing!!!", but I'd imagine there's a lucky random winner every now and then? I kinda like the segments where B-teams are happy about winning points, at all, instead of all this fabricated drama.

I can only relate it to the chicago bulls documentary series. "THE BULLS ROLLED THEM!" and then it's like 109-92.

I'm brand new to F1 and started watching last season. I hope Yuki Tsunoda does really good and Verstappen wins again. Is it possible to have Yuki move to the Red Bull team and race with Max?
Possible yes, likely no. Tsunoda, while being a competent driver has too much of a temper and Helmut Marko isn't the biggest fan of him, so I'll doubt that Tsunoda will ever get (the deservedly so) seat in the number one red bull team.

But let's see how Liam will do next to Verstappen. Red bull is known to axe their 2nd drivers if they do not deliver world class results immediately. Either way, it's going to be an interesting season.

If Lawson sucks, they'll promote Hadjar. Tsunoda is on a lame duck contract. Red Bull only promoted him to please Honda, and they have no reason to anymore. He's already hit his ceiling. I predict he's on his way to sports car or Indycar purgatory. Aston Martin has bigger plans than signing a mid-tier driver, even if a seat opens up.

I dont know about Hadjar. He seems like he may be a Yuki 2.0 with the red mist. Remember the race in Monaco last year where he flipped his shit because the other driver correctly and legally pitted under the VSC? He acted like there was a big cheat going on with his radio messages. That didn't do him any favours.

I think Arvid Lindblad is going to potential get a shot before the end of 2025. I'd be surprised if they brought him into replace Lawson directly, although that would be a huge balls move, but if any of the 3 suck out, Lindblad is going to get called up.

I have been reading some of the pontifications thus far and McL seem like a no brainer to win AUS, and maybe Merc might be 2nd best. Both RB and Ferrari are said to be having a bit of difficulty with handling. So, if that is the case, McL (or another team) need to rack up the points/wins as much as possible in the early phase of the year before those 2 get their shit together and start competing with them. Could be a similar look to last year with McL dominating like RB did in the early days, and then equalizing happens. I am hoping Williams is indeed as good as they look and will be regular top 10 finishers if not grab a fluke podium.

AM is looking to be fighting with Sauber over 10th as well, sucks for Fred but will be fun watching this idiot teammate flounder and shit the bed more than normal.

Countdown is on though, less than a week away.

I definitely think Hadjar doesn't have great potential, but his radio will be good for a few laughs.

Drive to survive s7 had a pretty kino part. Helmut talking how there's no Netflix ending that Daniel would make it back into the main team. Usual slop, horrible editing falsifying storylines that didn't exist, ignoring major stories and whole teams absent.

I'm not even sure what this series is anymore, the drivers briefing's with Charlie were way more entertaining and informative.

Well Cadillac/Andretti are going to be a joke. I give it 3 years before someone like Honda buy them out. The six drivers they are talking about are:

Zhou(looool)

Herta(he will get utterly destroyed by anyone with a pulse like in Indycar)

Bottass

Checo

Nepo baby Schumacher

Ricciardo(who has sucked since 2020)

Yes, I totally agree, putting Herta in there would show they aren't serious about competing. The dude is not stellar. I also think he may have to end this season at a certain ranking to have enough license points to drive in F1. Its a vague memory I have from a few months ago when I was reading about Caddy. Like maybe he has to finish the season in 4th or 6th or better or something like that? I'd dig into it deeper if I gave more of a shit about it. I am sure it will get talked about as the season plays out if indeed he has to do somewhat well to replace whatever points he loses as the licensing system only uses the last 2 or 3 years of results I believe

I also have been seeing this thrown around. Pretty sure George is out of contract at end of 2025:

Russell to Cadillac? 11th team told to ‘throw everything at’ Mercedes driver

Michelle Foster09 Mar 2025 2:15 PM

George Russell is set to lead the charge for Mercedes while driving the W16.
Colton Herta’s Andretti IndyCar salary says Cadillac have “already offered” him a Formula 1 contract for F1 2026 but the big question is who will be the American’s team-mate?
George Russell, of course, insist Ziggo Sport pundits Renger van der Zande and Jack Plooij.

George Russell and Colton Herta at Cadillac?

Officially rubber stamped as Formula 1’s 11th team, arriving on the grid next seaon, Cadillac have already made several key signings.
From Graeme Lowdon to Mario Andretti to Peter Crolla, big-name signings are filling the key roles within the American team.
But still the question remains, who will be driving the cars?

Colton Herta has been a frontrunner almost since Andretti Global initially applied to be the 11th team.

But while Andretti is no longer the name on the entry form, that transferred to Cadillac backed by General Motors, it’s still the driving force or at least the stepping stone.
Herta, who races for Andretti Global in IndyCar, looks to be a shoe-in with Andretti, a non-executive director, and CEO Dan Towriss talking up the American driver.

Dutch racing driver and pundit Van der Zande believes that’s as good as done.
“One of the signs that it will be Herta is that he is the highest-paid IndyCar driver with seven million dollars a year. The rest is around three to four million. That’s because they have actually already offered him a contract in Formula 1,” he told Ziggo Sport.

Moving onto Herta’s team-mate, his fellow pundit Jack Plooij reckons Cadillac, who have been linked to Sergio Perez and Kevin Magnussen, should make a play for Mercedes lead driver Russell.

“Who do you put next to it?” questions Plooij. “George Russell in 2026? He has to get out, because Max has to get in.
“I’ll throw everything at Russell.”

Plooij’s comment is based on his belief that Max Verstappen “will” leave Red Bull for Mercedes at the end of this season, a claim that Verstappen’s father Jos has scoffed at.
“Jack Jack Jack. What nonsense you talk,” he wrote on X.

But he’s not the only one who thinks it is a distinct possibility.
Van der Zande shares revealed: “I saw past that Max had landed at Eindhoven Airport on Thursday. Then Toto Wolff’s plane also happened to land there half an hour later. They also left again with half an hour difference.

He does not believe it was a coincidence.
“Those conversations are obviously just there. I don’t know if Max is having those talks himself, maybe it has been around for a long time,” he added.

Despite the constant rumours, that now also include Aston Martin, Verstappen has made it clear that as long as he is happy at Red Bull, he will stay at Red Bull. And winning makes Max Verstappen happy.

Plenty of streams in this link, hope they are helpful for those looking for some. I am watching one of the Diamond ones now, seems stable and good quality, no buffering.

Let's see what we are in for, hopefully teams are a little closer again, although Sauber and AM probably will be lagging behind the others, but if other 8 are tightened up, that will be good shit.
