Maybe I missunderstood, but wasn't the whole Alonso/Piastri situation partly his fault?
You're right that Otmar (and everyone else getting kicked out of Alpine) obviously have a share in the blame. If they'd completely hammered down Oscar's contract (if that's even possible), and offered Fernando a big bumper deal, maybe they'd still have them. But in the end, what's embarrassing about the whole situation is that a Rookie was extremely motivated to give the finger to Alpine, and Alonso ran as soon as Daddy Stroll called.

And Renault isn't investing all this money and time into a Formula 1 team to look like a brand top drivers don't want to be associated with, with, compared to Ferrari/Mercedes, a shit car and a shit engine.

Haas will be the new team that Alfa sponsors. Article is originally in Italian.

I don't understand why they put so much wing compared to everyone else. It really looked like a GP2 engine with that setup. They could've done one like Silverstone where everyone was impressed by their speed on hards, but no. Let's be fucking pussies about it. And then that hard tire stop for Lando. Why? They lucked out on that result. Their meteo team tends to go against the grain and have that bite them in the ass, it's not the first time it's happened.
I think they were banking on bad weather and having downforce to power through wet conditions. The gamble didn't pay off but its not totally unrealistic considering the weather at Spa.

So Pirelli's solution to no fucker ever runs in the wet is to suggest a more wet intermediate. So the problem of full wets are a meme tyre will become worse.

I thought they eliminated the whole soft-supersoft-ultrasoft-hypersoft-gigasoft-omegasoft-infinitesoft-lewlewsoft-microsoft-etc. tire rainbow because it was too complicated? What's the point if they're just going to do stuff like this again?

Good on Max for putting some pressure on early with regards to the 26 regulations, since he basically just called them fucking shit. Not sure it'll work, but maybe it'll gain traction. Red Bull being on top makes it easy to dismiss their complaints as wanting to stay on top. Unfortunately most of the rest of the grid are pansies when it comes to rocking the boat, and Alonso may not give a shit because he'll be 60.

I'm nowhere near smart enough to predict how it'll pan out, but usually the drivers know what makes for fun cars to race and watch.
