So he’s not going to race this weekend then?
Imagine the rant coming from all Lewis fans "Wahhhhh they want to make the only black man quit Formula one so that a white man can't loose his record" Funny thing is those rules were there for years but now they are actually enforcing them. Should have thought about that sooner. Of course here is an alternative: make him sign an agreement that the FIA won't be liable should he ever suffer a really heavy crash and his jewelery causes additinal harm (like melting on the skin or even enter critical body parts)

Pardon me for my American exceptionalism but it seems really perverse to me that the way you expand into my home market after building a Tilkedrome is a brand new street course and the return of the Parking Lot Grand Prix. America has dozens of historic and beloved circuits (Watkins Glen, Laguna Seca, Elkhart Lake, etc.) and this is what we get for it? Even if you must have a street course, there are places out there like Long Beach that have been doing it forever and seem like appropriate candidates for it. Instead we get treated the same way as Middle Eastern oil sheikhdoms with billions to burn.

Another way to look at it is with a bright shiny tilke-drome in Miami they won't butcher any of the historic and beloved circuits.

Edit: IS IT HAPPENING BOYOS?

Lewis Hamilton happy not to race at Miami GP if F1 enforces jewellery ban

He stops just short of branding it as a civil rights issue with his "a step backwards" comment. The arrogance of this man and the disrespect that he has for his team on open display for all to see: To say that he won't race if the FIA don't kowtow to his asinine demands. Ecclestone would have told him to sling his hook.

Line up all of the great F1 drivers with a summary of their myriad contributions to the sport underneath. Hamilton will be there at the end, with his fight for drivers to be allowed to wear earrings.

Again the jewelry restriction has been there since before Hamilton even got into F1. It was left to the race director how to implement it and the race directors have done it case by case. After Hamilton's shit fit over rules interpretations last season the FIA took away the discretion and appointed the new race directors with a mandate to enforce the word of the regulations not case by case them. Congratulations dickbag you played yourself.

He cucked anyway (though I don't think rules should be a negotiable, it should be follow it or fuck off).

Hamilton has agreed to take off all of his non-“welded” jewelry this weekend.
Hamilton agreed that he would remove whatever jewellery he could for this weekend's race in Miami, and was given an exemption until Monaco for the items that he could not easily remove.
He’s also a total child:
Hamilton turned up to Friday's FIA press conference wearing three watches, eight rings, bracelets and a necklace, and claimed it was "unnecessary" for officials to be focusing on "such a small thing".

I just saw this article few minutes ago on Twitter and I couldn't believe it, I had to actually go into the thread because it sounded too dumb even for Lewbix Noodinton.

So they don't want them to RACE with bling and he's all uppity about it? I mean.....I know he's a globohomo pet nig nog but CMON, what the FUCK lmao, during the race who cares you're wearing a helmet lmfaooo

Let's face it if they let them put rims on the cars Hamilton would have chromed spinners. Good thing they got rid of active suspension or he'd be hopping the front while on the grid. He's really trying his hardest to be some African American stereotype when he's a middle class half white southerner.

Sainz. My boy. You're fucking killing me here.
tbh I find the rumour of Herta joining McLaren by 2024 more interesting than the Latifi/Piastri swap. I thought Herta and Andretti was a package deal. Maybe Andretti is putting their plans to set up an F1 team on the back burner for now?
Mario was beating the drum about wanting to get a team in by 2024 during practice. In his own words "its not for lack of trying." With VW (allegedly) actually getting into the sport it could be a good pairing. IIRC Andretti said they were looking at Renault though.

After FP2 I am curious if Mercedes can keep this up. Russell seems to be faster then Hamilton at the moment though I also think that Red Bull and Ferrari still have something up their sleeve. And if the reliability on Verstappen's car keeps going up and down we might have more then one Merc on the podium

After something this petty and stupid, as FIA, I'd allow Hamilton to race in Q1, then between Q1 and Q2 ask him to show up at the Marshall's office and have him take off his headgear.
If he's wearing his earrings/piercings, I'd tell him he's not allowed to race that weekend, due to violation of safety regulations.

Why after Q1 and not before Qualifying? Why of course so Mercedes is not allowed to use their spare driver for the weekend. Enjoy a one-car race, Toto.

In all seriousness, FIA pampered Hamilton and he's now openly flouting their rules and behaves like a child. Reel that faggot in or watch him challenge even more stuff. One thing is for sure, the moment he's out of F1, he's going to shit all over NAZI-KKK-FIA and how much they hate da black mang.

If he's still serving as a Mercedes brand ambassador, FIA needs to knock them down a peg, so they reel in their king clown.

He has a grace period and to be honest he can show up at the conferences how he likes. Make him look ridiculous as long as he complies with the racing regulations. If he doesn't however then let the FIA punish him to the extent of the rules. I guess they didn't expect the new Race director duo being this adamant about the rules. Then again they are probably trying to make sure that the wishy washy style of Masi is over. Just imagine if one driver would have a huge crash and if said driver would wear jewelry that would hurt him / complicate medical treatment. The outcry would be huge. Better to stomp it out now especially after Grosjean's crash of 2020

One thing that irks me is this 2 race dispensation. Like he can't find an hour after this weekend and before the next race to have it dealt with? Its like working in law, there are riules I have to deal with and follow, but they aren't implemented tooth and nail in numerous situations. Deadline to file a document is clear, but it gets filed late and no reprecussions. Just retarded to have pieces of paper and documents that CLEARLY state rules and regs but not enforced.

Also, watching the W qualifying right now. Fucking Bruce Jenner wearing a dress and getting involved in women's sport. Reeks of those perverted gymnastics, swimming, skating etc male coaches. I remember watching the 76 Olympics in Montreal when he was a REAL man and won the decathlon. Now he thinks he is a woman. Insanity is a cruel thing to have controlling your life.

Also meant to add that last weekend the FREC and EuroForumlaOpen seasons started last week. The Pau GP is this weekend which is a mega track and for those among us who may not be aware of those series or the great Pau and Macau races. I highly recommend checking thos out. Here are links to the YT channels for both series as they stream the races live:

It would be very ironic and fitting for the race director to crack down hard on him since he spent all of the winter throwing a tantrum about Masi still having a job until the FIA complied, then he crowed about throwing his weight around. You reap what you sow, Merc.
