How unfortunate for Piastri to have to deal with a shitbox for a car
It's character-building. If your first few cars aren't shitboxes, you end up with a born to rule mentality and become completely flummoxed by a car that's less than perfect. One only need to look at Mercedes and their drivers to see the difference between a driver who paid his dues in complete shitters and a driver who's always had the best hardware from the get go.

Meanwhile, I'm stoked that my boy Checo got a podium and that Alonso can still give the rest of the field a scare when behind the wheel of something decent.

Finally watched the race, on to IndyCar and hope that one is enjoyable.

Managed to win bets for no safety car and Max win, but lost for both Haas in points and Mag for a Top 6. Fred did some nice work to get P3! I thought I bet on Fred for a podium but apparently not so pissed about that.
I demand video of when Fernando finds out who hit him at the start.
I think part of Fred's contract states that he has to talk up the owner's son as much as possible! LOL He probably gets a big bonus for every time he does. Sounds so weird to hear a driver talking up their teammate doesn't it?

And with the how good the AM car seems to be combined with possible trend of Ferrari failures and/or bad calls being a thing again, regular podiums might be a thing for Fred. Lance might even get one or two too. Merc has a real battle to end year top 3 and if they are going to change their sidepod design, with the way each part of the car is designed with other areas of the car in mind, that could really make them struggle more.

Still early days and we only have this one race, night race at that, to go on. Let's see after race 6 or so what the order is as that is usually when you can see how the year is to likely play out. Overall though, it does seem that the field has tightened up even if it is just slightly. No team really seemed totally horrible this race, just lots of bad luck. The worst team does look like it may be McLaren, which would be something indeed if that is how the season plays out. Huge drop off and you have to question what/who fucked up so badly.

The race was somewhat enjoyable, not outstanding, but not a snorefest. RB looking like they are going to walk to the titles this year. Checo better up his game cause Max looking sublime again.

Not far from now, we're gonna see Fernando pull down Stroll by the nape, and say "he's growing as a driver, eh? Future champion for sure!" Then kiss him on the forehead. "I can't wait to see it."

Wowser, the Indy race was bueno! Crazy stuff and way more action than the GP. Indy seems much more exciting/competitive of a series on a whole compared to F1.

Fucking RoGro....

Daddy Stroll's Money Machines have arrived. As a long time fan but one who's used to disappointment I marked out for Nando running down king negro and passing him on his way to the podium. I might be jumping the gun a bit but I think we're going to have some new blood up top with the big 3, and they could possibly even challenge for the 2nd spot if Merc keeps being off the pace and Ferrari continues its long tradition of blowing engines.

Two teams that have not arrived are the McLarens and the Haas. I knew the McLarens were in trouble ever since this offseason, but the Haas actually looked somewhat decent during practice. Turns out they're still shitboxes. Some things never change.

I'm sure the rivalry between Hulk and KMag will provide a bit of entertainment from Haas.

As for McLaren... maybe they did Ricciardo a favour by letting him go.

Hulk had some lap 1 contact and KMag had terrible strategy. KMag still gained 4 positions to finish P13 so I wouldn't put the blame on the car just yet.

The only shining bag of turds as of now is the McLaren MCL60.

Anyways, great job Alonso for getting another podium, that Aston looked super-fast against a Mercedes that is trying to weight-save. Super job from Daddy's Cash too for finishing P6 while pulling a Kubica.

Ferrari with early doors reliability issues again as shown with Charles Leclerc's retirement. Red Bull look like they're on another planet, by the end of the race Verstappen was 36 seconds away from Alonso, and 10 seconds away from Perez.

Albon yet again dragging a Williams to a top 10 finish, Sargeant was super close to getting one too. Would've been thrilling if there was a consecutive season where a rookie scored points on debut.

The last to points from Gasly was also exhilirating, same couldn't be said for Ocon's race however... you already know why.

That track was a random crash generator sim all weekend. Feature race was great. F1 and Indycar were awesome, Cup was, dare I say it, boring.

It is a bit crazy how far AM have improved to be honest. Again, we only have one race to go on, but if that trend proves to continue, how long before someone (Merc most likely) starts whispering about potential cheating going on?

If AM does beat Merc in the WCC at end of season, that will be huge really. Hopefully that will be a catalyst for the black man to go away and we can finally be rid of the trouble that results from him being in F1. Most likely optimistic, but this will be the 3rd year in a row that he doesn't win the title, and with luck the 2nd year running he goes winless too! So maybe he will realize that his chances of ever getting the glory he has had over the last decade is gone forever and he goes off somewhere to try and act like a true nigga and not a wannabe.

The culture surrounding the nig has made it impossible for him to take a hint. No matter how much he loses or causes contact it will always be the car/team's fault or the other driver. He constantly has this reinforced by Wolffe and the other higher ups at merc. In his mind, he still has the reflexes and fitness of a 20-year-old.

He will never leave by choice.

Yeah, but Alonso has far more talent than Bloois. It would be pure delusion to say that Lewis has no talent at all, but by the standards of F1 drivers he's average at best.

I was going to say Alonso deserved more than two championships but then I realized it's an indictment of the the series of the last 10-15 years or so to say a driver "only" won two championships.
