And this, Ladies and Gentlemen, is why you don't allow your drivers to do the kind of shit Hamilton did past Abu Dhabi. He now thinks he's above the rules, above anyone enforcing the rules and above anyone making the rules.

Well done FIA. How about reeling in Queen Hamlestier before this shit gets any sadder to watch? Karen now announced to disregard rules that your designated rule-enforcer just announced to enforce.

Just let him do off track as he wants. Just wait till he walks around like a full blown rapper while getting his shit pushed in where it matters: on track. The same happened to Jaques Villneuve when he was at BAR and he became a laughingstock. Just listen to Hamilton's positive attitude after getting P5 today

True that.

Also at least he's not bitching about his team being at fault or something. I guess he already insinuated something along those lines in the past race, but he's not yet very vocal with any sort of blame game.

I would give him massive props if he said that the team is in a weak position this year, but that the team has provided beasts of F1 cars for almost a decade in the past, so the little slump this season, frustrating as it might be, is nothing compared to the genius of the past years.
But I think it's more likely that Hamilton will find a reason to bitch at his team and blame a lack of black engineers the root of all evil.

Mercedes have become the red bull of 2020. Best of the rest. With ferrari and red bull far up ahead, but still able to hold off the midfield most of the time, they are on track for a "close but distant" third place as things stand.

Hamilton helping himself to a sheaf of pages from the Colin Kaepernick manual of professional victimhood, so early in the season, implies that he has already given up on the championship and perhaps also the sport. He can't even play the villain properly without coming across as a sulky teenager.

As you rightly say, he will carry on breaking the rules in small and petty ways until a line is drawn, at which point he will bleat about it on social media. This is where he potentially kicks dirt over his legacy - either he does something that ends up having serious consequences and then compounds that with a shitty attitude, or he simply continues muddying his reputation with surly acts of rebellion.

Mercedes must be tiring of him. I wonder if anyone within the upper tiers of that organisation would have the balls to effect the kind of enforced retirement that Luca di Montezemolo pulled on Schumacher in 2006.

I wasn't able to stay up long enough to see Q3, happy to see Leclerc on pole again, but what happened with Carlos?
1st run destroyed by an untimely Red flag (his team mate got lucky he crossed the line a few seconds BEFORE said red flag was waved)
2nd run: Carlos car didn't start up so he couldn't warm his tyres properly. Has to drive a fast lap on cool tyres and predictabyl he went off track costing him massively.

And in essence Mercedes were damn lucky that Sainz and Alonso didn't have luck on their side. Otherwise it would be 7th and 8th in the grid. Here is hoping that Sainz gets passed both Mercs on track early in the race.

Alonso and Checo having a go at V8 Supercars.

When Alonso retires from F1, I'd love to see him team up with Rubens Barrichello to take on the Bathurst 1000. Bathurst has been on Rubens' bucket list for a while, and Alonso seemed to really enjoy his drive in a V8 'Stang. Heck, even if Alonso and Rubens end up in different cars, it'd be great to see a couple of F1 legends mix it up with Aussies and Kiwis, along with the usual mix of random BTCC and EuropeanGT drivers trying their luck on the Mountain.

I am going to try and watch the race live. 2AM start for me, so I'll know around 12:30a.m. if I am going to make it. I want to at the moment, but 4 hours from now might not feel same.

Chances for a red flag at some point seem somewhat likely. Also Pirelli figures one stop strategy, softs won't be used. I am sure the race will play out in such a way (SC/RF) that someone will get the opportunity to do it. Probably be an outside top 10 car though.

When Hambone is winning, it's because he's the greatest driver of all time. When he's losing, it's because the car is a bucket of shit. When Mercedes accidentally gave Bottas a better car than the one Hambone had, they swapped cars quick smart. When George kicks Hambone's arse, it's because Mercedes swapped cars without telling anyone because they raysis.

DTS + Reddit = F1-killing cancer.

pretty cool for us americans
Yeah, its the asian area races that are the shit for me. The Europe races are great, 9 or 10 am Sunday morning, so watch the race and still have most of the day to do shit. I cant remember which one, but I do remember staying up for a race starting at 4AM. That fucking sucked.

And Lewis is defying the jewelry rule. They said something about dispensation for a few races. Like why??? Do they require surgical removal? Much goofiness abounds sometimes.

Brutal comment from the commentators. "Behind the Aston Martin safety car, the only time we'll see an Aston Martin leading the race”
