Irelio Reyes Osorio, 52, was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder for trying to kill his former boss.
According to Hialeah police, the incident was sparked by Osorio being let go for drinking at work.

ABC 13 reported that Osorio demanded that his former boss, Reynaldo Mendez, pay him for the two days he worked prior to getting fired.
Police said Osorio sent Mendez threatening text messages saying he would use a gun, knife or machete on him if he didn't get his money.

Despite the alarming messages, Mendez agreed to meet with Osorio but the decision almost proved fatal. Police said as Mendez headed back to his van to call for help, Osorio hopped into his pickup truck and ran his vehicle into Mendez. The impact sent Mendez flying into a fence. The fight between the two men didn't end there.
Osorio was seen on camera driving away, with parts of the fence stuck to his truck, but turned his car around and gunned it again towards Mendez.
Eventually, Osorio gave up trying to kill his former boss and left the scene. Miraculously, Mendez only suffered minor injuries and drove himself to the hospital.

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) - A Florida man will spend 10 years in federal prison for exploiting minors on the Internet, including one from the Lynchburg area.

Lenny Baldwin Jr., 22, of Miami pleaded guilty to one count of persuading, inducing, enticing or coercing a minor into producing child pornography.

According to evidence presented at other court hearings, Baldwin solicited girls he knew were minors to send him nude photographs.

The evidence showed Baldwin threatened to post the pictures publicly if the girls didn't send more.

Officials say Baldwin solicited girls from multiple jurisdictions.

Baldwin's online account records show that he attempted to get naked photographs from multiple minor girls on a frequent basis, according to evidence.

The Department of Homeland Security and the Appomattox Sheriff's Office conducted the investigation. U.S. Attorney prosecuted the case.

Miami police have arrested a man they said keyed swastikas into five cars last month.

Timothy Merriam was arrested Feb. 26 for allegedly slashing the tires on Citi bikes. Police said the 61-year-old suspect may have slashed more than 100 bike tires in a 30-day period, according to Local10.com.

The swastika keyings happened in a neighborhood that is predominantly Jewish, according to CBS Miami.

One of the victims, Doug Eaton, told the station he believed the swastikas were a message of hate.

“Obviously it was intended to offend our neighbors,” Eaton said. “We’re not Jewish but the majority of this neighborhood is Jewish and that’s what it was designed to do. It was designed to offend them and it’s a very offensive sign and it’s going to upset a lot of people around here.
