Andre Brown, 26, is charged with sexual assault on a victim between 12 and 18 years old.
The victim told detectives Brown, whom she knew, grabbed her and took her into the bathroom and then locked the door and raped her.
She didn’t tell anyone at first after it happened in April 2016. According to the arrest report, she was worried she would be blamed for it.
After she went to the doctor in July and learned she was pregnant, she told the authorities about what happened.
A DNA test confirmed Brown is the father, though Brown denied ever having sex with her.

Laster's family had reported him missing in 1994. His sister told police that her brother was last seen with Hyde — a youth pastor and family friend.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/suburbs/ct-dupage-shoplifting-trial-0309-20170309-story.html
Florida man reputed to have financed a lavish lifestyle through shoplifting went on trial Wednesday in DuPage County, accused of theft and burglary from a Hobby Lobby store in Lombard.
The start of the trial for Ignatius M. Pollara, 51, came 20 months after his arrest in July 2015, and in the interim, he has received two contempt of court citations for cursing at a judge and a prosecutor.
Pollara was on probation in Florida, where he had earned a reputation for being a master shoplifter. Authorities there said he had stolen millions of dollars in merchandise, including expensive toys, such as high-end Lego sets, that he later resold.

When he told his Florida probation officer he was flying to the Chicago area to visit family, the officer, who knew Pollara did not have relatives here, contacted local authorities.
A team of police and retail store investigators trailed Pollara for a day before arresting him and finding a car full of stolen merchandise, Kelly told the judge.

The trial's first witness, Detective Jeremy Thayer of the Downers Grove police, described how officers followed Pollara from O'Hare International Airport after his arrival to a series of stores, mostly along Golf Road in Schaumburg, and then on to the Oak Brook area.

Authorities say Pollara went into about 20 stores in roughly 24 hours before he was arrested. He allegedly had about $75 in stolen art supplies hidden in the small of his back when he was taken into custody, Thayer testified.

Several times Wednesday, the judge had to admonish Pollara, who frequently interjects his comments during his hearings, to remain quiet. Once, when he apparently disputed the testimony of the detective, Pollara blurted out, "That's a set-up. That's a set-up," and he kept up a steady stream of commentary to his attorney, Assistant Public Defender Mark Lyon.
