With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

  • 2 Stars — Pretty bad. Some funny moments, dragged, too many vibe repair days. Barely worth checking.

That faggot Josh got booted, Fenix was sent to the hospital. Josh's girlfriend was due to arrive but instead had to deal with her sperg boyfriend's crashout and the possible legal fallout. Fortunately Fenix did not want to press charges. Paula (Josh's girlfriend) joined the house and was decent content for the two days she was present. Josh meanwhile has been seething in his San Salvador motel watching the show and stalking the Estanque discord (allegedly) and constantly bombarding Production's dms and attempting to control the show's narrative and delivering ultimatums, threatening to pull his girlfriend. Josh made a final ultimatum where he wanted to return to the show to hang out with his girlfriend. Production really did not feel like entertaining the legal liability that is Josh and so after a few phone calls in the basement Paula said farewell to the house and left with her twink bf. Somewhere in that whole saga Josh broke the terms of his NDA and lost all the money he made on the show. Roberto gave him 100 USD and a hotel room to stay at for the night. Unsure if any transport as been arranged for him.

I'd rather see Jet have a redemption arc and come back with an amazing s5 and Bloodgames 2 than have him quit but tbh I wouldn't blame him. It would be fucking awful being the guy who has to run a show for the freaks who watch Fishtank and take their anger out on you. Jet deserves it most of the time but if I was in Jet's shoes I would have quit after season 1. Fishtank is a great show but the fanbase makes it not worth it.

The real question is, who takes Jet's place if he quits? I know Sam barely gives a fuck anymore but there are people on the production team that do.

I could definitely see Ben getting more involved along with Maejok. I'd love to see Luke get more involved, but that would mean he gets pulled away from the Sam Hyde show/unfunny grift stuff and I don't really see that happening. But he would be much better utilized working on FT and I'm sure he wants to do it.

Quit after season 1 to do what? This is the most money Jet has ever made or probably will make.

He could do both. I cant imagine it takes his full time to do sam hyde show stuff.
