With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

  • 2 Stars — Pretty bad. Some funny moments, dragged, too many vibe repair days. Barely worth checking.

To be fair, it wasn't going to be Blood Games in Massachusetts because it gets exceptionally cold there that time of the year. Keeping them outside all day and also only getting about 10 hours of "daylight" footage during that time would not have been as kino as a real Blood Games.

I really do hope we get some of the S3 contestants back for a real Blood Games though. Burt, Luke, and Mizzy would be a lot of fun out in the woods. Pepper in a few S1 and S2 fish in there. They've never even met Tai.

Fishtank has attracted more people than just MDE fans, lots of classic MDE fans don't even like Fishtank and think it's gay lol. Lots of people who are fans of the reality gameshow concept have become Fishtank fans and the internet culture aspect to Fishtank would attract people like Ted.

The plan that Jet laid out is that the next "Bloodgames" cast will be made up of s3 and s4 contestants and it won't be outside. Personally I hope they rethink the plan of never doing it outside again as I think it makes for a perfect contrast with the real seasons of Fishtank but whatever. Jet said it was way to difficult to run the show outside and it shows based on how many of the cameras were permanently fucked during 2.5 Bloodgames.

It might not even be a proper stream, since it's advertised as having an Amish gimmick. Unlike the others she's not interested in streaming as a career but crocheting instead, and her last stream was her on Halloween crocheting silently while painted and dressed as a mime.

It's nevertheless her main focus and she's managed to be swamped in orders thanks to fishtank. Months worth of orders after season 2 and swamped again during S3/Christmas after announcing another run. She made a lot of money when she streamed consistently though, around 17k.
