With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

missed it, but Sylvia tweeted "good job" and then deleted it.

Also in that ten minute stream before Jon arrived she called him a "greedy faggot."

Funny how this trip started with Sylvia pouring on the love for him, about how they talk on the phone every single day, and now we're here. I think she came into it underestimating how bad Letty had it with Jon and thought she could handle him, and is discovering that rehabilitation is impossible and public pillorying is a better alternative.

I just hope he doesn't hurt her, I fully believe he could.
 
I think some posters are missing the fact that Jon values fame above all else. Remember when he first came to the Fishtank and was all polite and sweet or when he’d have these little night time speeches about how thankful he was to be on the show? It’s bizarre to see how much it contrasts with how he is now.

As soon as he’s given praise and realizes how much people love his unhinged actions it’s totally mask off for this guy. Sylvia absolutely needs to be careful that Jon doesn’t go over the edge on this one.

It’s a great lesson on how internet fame can affect people. When he was on the show he really didn’t have any bad blood towards anybody except Damiel, and that’s only because Damiel started making fun of him. In fact, you could argue that the fish he was closest to was Letty. They were having tickle fights and shit. There’s a reason why Jetty was the most popular ship. My theory as to why he changed in between him leaving the show and coming back is the following.

  1. Jon left the show with a little distrust for Letty due to the baby shaking incident. It should be noted that Vance also participated in this. The reason Jon forgave Vance and not Letty is probably a result of the Andrew tate obsession.
  2. I’m sure everyone here remembers day 16. It was quite literally the last day before Letty hate started to take off at an incredibly fast rate due to the camp counselor arc.
  3. Jon is immediately exposed to social media and his new fan base after the show. As a result he is exposed to the massive amount of Letty derangement syndrome present in FT spaces that took place until the very last day of the show.
  4. It was very easy to message Jon and he would message back. I’d imagine a ton of FT viewers were trying to get into contact with him. A large majority of viewers didn’t like Letty and could have easily told him that she was a snake which he would blindly believe.
  5. Jon sees a bunch of embarrassing clips of him and Letty doing risqué stuff like laying on the same bed, tickling each other, touching each other, and giving off flirty vibes. Because of this he wants to prove to everyone he definitely didn’t like here so he treats her like shit. It’s school yard mentality. “Know one will know I like her if I bully her.”
  6. This is speculation, but I’m 90% sure it happened. The moment Jon gets back on the show the crew gasses him up to fuck with Letty without explaining to him that he shouldn’t actually hate her. Jon screamed in her face multiple times calling her a bitch and a slut, and the crew probably never said, “hey Jon, this is just a show.” He knew he could very easily get away with messing with her and the crew would never stop him.
  7. The crew actively fed the false narrative that Letty also hated Jon by having her put his Bible in the washing machine. Jon took that as proof that his opinions on Letty were correct.
Now it’s just a cycle of Jon doing something fucked up to Letty, Letty calling him out, Jon getting defensive, Jon apologizing, then Jon going back to hating her. Just wait, it’s going to happen to Sylvia as well.

Very strange that Jon is engaging in this behavior when he is a diehard Tate guy, when Tate says to fuck bitches and ignore them. Now Jon is getting mogged by a quasi-femcel/neet about his behavior. Perhaps Jon is having regretful thoughts on not smashing Letty's hairy vagene and is taking his anger out on her? (Let's be real Letty is WAYYYY too good for him anyway since Jon is a literal retard).

Oh Jet and Sam 100% fueled the anger between the two for drama. Jet specifically coached Letty who refused at first to do it to rip up Jons bible to get him mad. I'm sure they took Jon into the basement when he came back and got him super riled up about Letty.
 
I don't know if anyone has already talked about this but has Fishtank changed many of the fish's political views? Have many of the fish always been the 4chan-y types or are some of them just pandering now?

Letty definitely didn't change. She put on a liberal feminist thing but that part was the act and the 4chan thing was the truth.
Sylvia, according to her, got more Christian because of Jon. Almost everyone has been the exact same.

Mauro is the biggest one where I think he had no exposure to any of this and has abruptly begun to talk about things from the underside of the Internet that he definitely knew nothing about. He also got a tat this week, fun fact.

Letty mentioned something called the "ten step gaslight Jon plan" that she discussed with production in the basement and probably helped to write. The Bible was the last part but apparently there were other steps. Fair guess that Ben telling Jon that everyone can see his boner was probably one of the steps. I couldn't tell what the others might have been.

What irked me at the time was Vance played into it too, obviously for competitive reasons but iirc Jon told Vance he heard a rumor that Letty called the cops on the house and Vance didn't shoot it down, and he told Vance that Letty has basically sexually assaulted him and Vance went the same route and said that Letty has basically sexually assaulted him too, and wouldn't it have been unacceptable if the roles had been reversed, and junk like that. We generally all agree Vance was just too coward to fuck with Letty himself and was trying to get out of it by making Jon do it but the stuff he was saying was pretty gay.

It just stands out to me, just after Vance was told his girlfriend was trying to shut the show down and he was stumbling around pretending to have a meltdown, Jon took him aside and said something like "you have a lot to deal with, she's such a bitch" and Vance went "excuse me?" "Letty." "No, it has nothing to do with Letty!"

The only person I can think of who started to get really political after the show was Betty who went hard into the tradwaifu larping on her twitter despite literally being a whore who pissed into a helmet for her fans.

I'm curious, how do you think Jet will edit around the Simmons stuff? It's not something you can just omit or edit around. That entire night was people panicking and Sam kicking him off was one of the most beloved moments of the show. What will they do with it? Seems like if they implied to much he was a pedo it could open the door for a lawsuit.

I'm glad they let the whole of the basement footage play, we sort of got shafted in a way that wasn't their fault by how Simmons ghosted the internet after he got kicked out. We got the whole payoff when everyone else went home of seeing their reactions to the fan response but Simmons, perhaps the best judgement of his life, ghosted completely so we never got payoff until today watching him read his phone and go "oh wow. oh wow. I'm not reading that out loud."
