Hindsight being what it is, I think a lot of the fish toys were from the crew. It wouldn't surprise me at all if most of them were. A lot of them sure were conveniently timed and the crates often had convenient items.

I doubt that "most" of them were but a lot of the memorable ones probably were. Like Lance was getting showered in lootcrates one evening and I think that was the crew building up his whole mogging thing. He was getting stuff that didn't even make sense, like massive toys and steaks and Damiel's shoes and shit.

I mentioned this ages ago but some of the day 0 footage captured Jet talking to the crew about buying snack fishtoys for Sylvia just to pile onto her being fat. That type of thing probably happened a lot.

But I doubt it was the crew buying most fishtoys, I think it's just not memorable all the times a Lootcrate would come up and it would just be like, yogurt, a ball, doritos, and a pack of cards. That's something I hope they work on for S2, they have the budget, there's a limit to how amazing non-electronic toys that come up in a lootcrate can be but they weren't very creative after a while. A really nice lootcrate or a really annoying lootcrate is better than a "meh" lootcrate. I'd get hats or weird graphic T-shirts or strange novelty items from Spencer's, or something.

People continued to get mattress pulls, but the sleeping arrangements were so scattered after a point it got hard to tell if someone even had a bed or not which de-incentivized buying it. At one point Letty had her bed taken and couldn't drag it upstairs and it stayed downstairs for like three days, so she slept in the foyer on it for one night, then in a sleeping bag next to Frank, and then in the bathroom because Chris was sleeping on it in the kitchen, and then onto Simmons' old mattress on her bedframe, and then they took that. I don't mind that silliness, but I think they should plan to phase out certain fishtoys for the sake of the audience as chaos develops in the house, and replace them with more obvious interpretations. You sleep in B2 with the guy who said he wants to slap you tonight. You sleep in the garage. Don't ask us how.
Otherwise it's a little like ordering a Shark Attack against Vance when he was outside for WP2. Do you trust Jet to know what the fuck to do with that?

I've seen Wes reference this directly, the plan seems to be to allow viewers to join clans and create a clan fund that the clan owner can spend on Fishtoys. And maybe prevents the leader from spending it on TTSes or their own avatar or whatever.

I don't mind paying to support things existing, I don't think FT is on the ledge or anything but maybe they think that without Josie and with the inevitable S2 scale-up they're going to end up overbudget. Like imagine they do the RFID bracelets and heartbeat monitors and shit they were talking about, or building a soundstage, that would be expensive, even if it's all investments which can be re-used in future seasons.

I can very easily imagine them doing none of those things, not that they sound like particularly good or well-formed ideas anyway especially given how production for the first 'season' felt like it was done very haphazardly.

Spoiler: Thoughts on Alex Stein's stream with Letty

It was good, a lot better than some of his past guests and much better than Josie, even just starting with Letty knowing how to relate to Alex and speak on topics he likes to bring up. Alex mentioned that he would go back on Fishtank and almost assumes that will be the case in S2. He burnt a Ukraine flag to compel her to pretend to kiss one of the producers and she said she would make him donate money to Ukraine to apologize. He was doing prank calls to restaurants and she suggested to prank call a suicide hotline and he freaked out and said she should be a producer for Pimp on a Blimp.
Just speaking from Alex's perspective, I don't think there are any better guests than Letty for him to have on from Fishtank besides Sam, nobody is going to bring him a big audience and Letty was the only one who could vibe properly. If he had met Jon they could maybe have something to work with but I think they would get stuck on the Getting to Know You phase.

It is unclear whether this is true, I think it might have been true. Vance appeared partway into the Sylvia stream from his phone, staggering around in the dark pointing his camera at a TV on the floor and asking Jon what he thinks of the big sweaty men crashing into each other before leaving abruptly.

Overall a very interesting stream, really showed how Fishtank and post-fishtank has defined the dynamic of these four.

Credit where it's due... for Sylvia... again. There were plenty of hiccups but nothing more than that.
