I'll be honest, 10 episodes is way too short for this type of show. big brother in almost every edition its at least one hour a day. No way in hell anyone remembers Fox's Utopia but i expect the show will follow the same path, every online fan has a shitfit because the tv show edit is horrible and they have to skip almost all the good stuff because each episode covers a week or half a week. People think Jet fucked up with production but i know for a fact the editing of the event into an actual show will prove how fucking incompetent he really is.

The editing is really where these reality shows become entertaining and it will reveal how many flaws this entire project had. how the fuck will they be able to set up the final 2/3 when letty was who all the content revolved around for the 2nd half of the show? i'm barely a reality show junkie and can just tell on instinct this won't come out very well, at best it will be a show revolving around all of Jet's ideas for content and the enjoyable stuff won't ever be seen.

I think if I were Jet I would use exclusively interview and handheld footage as much as possible, it's what will be new content for the vast majority of people, avoids rehashing, and gets around the quality/sound issues. Probably easier to make a narrative too since they would've filmed important bits instead of fishing through 42 days of content.

thats literally the obvious move, and how most reality shows do it, if you notice you dont get much interaction outside of the events from contestants despite them almost always being in the same house for the duration of the reality shows unless its a fight or something massive enough to warrant looking at the tape. IIRC big brother uk in the 2000s was smart enough to have people who's entire job was to keep up with the message boards of people watching the live feeds so anything juicy enough for them was then ear marked for that day's show (which i'm sure is how they caught the racist remarks that led to a contestant being ejected and got slurs banned from the house after 2007 and then the live feed itself vanishing in 200. But that was a massive hassle even when they were doing daily episodes, i highly doubt anyone on this show was keeping track of the stuff people enjoyed in the threads on /tv/ or here. The other problem and is why most shows don't do a live feed is that it divides the audience in a way. you have the live stream fandom and the show fandom who'll end up focused on different parts of the season and almost always the show is to reality what a streaming show is to the source material. As we noted the challenges/set pieces are dogshit, but that will be a subsection of the viewing audiences entire way of seeing the show. Much like utopia any online presence of the episode will have the live feed fans calling out the edits and just complaining about the show in general.

And the memories come flooding back. Having gone through Fishtank withdrawals made me forgot all the little details that made this show great. It had it's low points, but it's high points were high. Little things like the stutter from Goldstriker after asking Jon what comes after six and the pause when he says seven are what made this show great. Since the first nine days are arguably the best Fishtank had to offer it's going to be hard to fuck up the first episode. Even the wiggers can't mess up serving the silver platter that was the OG arc.

Loving the new perspectives and the interviews. It's like rewatching the show all over again. Like I said I have no doubt this first episode will be at least good. What I'm worried about is how they're going to deal with things like the camping arc and, god forbid, the z-list celebrity arc.

Watching the Simmon's troon skit on livestream was cringe, but experiencing it in first person, even for a little bit, was pure torture. It's also way different hearing everything with clear audio and with clear visuals. Not being confined to one camera angle is nice too. For example, the Willy Wonka terrorist skit (which I realize now was some coincidental foreshadowing for the finale, bravo Jet) I didn't even realize that Jon was pinching Damiel's nipples, and I couldn't hear Josie saying anything clearly due to the distorted live camera audio. But now we can actually hear what she's saying without Jon's tard speak garbling everything up. In this case I think the original audio distortion added to the comedy skit, but who knows what clearer audio and visuals will provide going forward.

Yeah, I wonder if maybe they plan on including the sketch practice and not the performance, somehow? Simmons during practice molesting Vance and not understanding why the play is funny, and Letty telling Vance to act more Jewish, was funnier than the execution.

My main concern is what I saw in the comments here and there, that the moments that will make it in are going to be extremely biased towards what they have HD footage of, even though Jon getting kicked in the head, or kicking a hole in the wall, or Vance acting schizo weren't captured that way, for examples.

The "special 9/11 stream" with a "very special guest" that ended up being special in all the wrong ways. This is the stream with the privated VOD, featuring Morgen. Morgen was a terrible guest, the viewers had it out for him, and background drama was brewing on Morgen's end. One could be forgiven for thinking there was a secret plot to sabotage this one.
Josie was prepared for negative viewer reactions but I don't think she was ready for the hostility.

As rough as the stream got, Josie persevered and I don't think her peers would do as well as she did, keeping the full context in mind.
