Part of me believes that, part of me thinks it's just a fantasy fans have because, deep down, they want Sam to be a wholesome family man and it's the only way to make sense of a person who does the total opposite of everything they espouse.

How Sam has managed to keep this a secret for so long with how the wiggers cant seem to keep anything else secret makes me think its not likely the truth.

Look at the risk each season involves and you can see with the latest one it didn't even finish which means they ate a lot of costs.

People look at 2-300k profit and think it's amazing but they have serious costs and legal risks plus they also still own all the houses and haven't been able to sell them. They might not be in a rush to sell but if there is a decent real estate downturn they could easily lose a million between all the properties.

They also took investor money which can complicate things.

Considering the upfront costs, risks involved as well as the cost of properties I would say it is definitely not a money printing machine.

That would make sense, after season 1 they were trying to launch Josie and Letty's internet careers, because it would be amazing for Fishtank if they could prove they can create stars, like Hollywood (including the behind the scenes rape it turns out). Jet donating to encourage other people to donate and generate the illusion of success, which can lead to real success. Of course they mostly flopped.
