Mekkah's completely opposite take on Rybean from ~2 years before the 'Mangs & July 2020' video.
Mekkah inserted himself into the drama the next day the logs of the conspiration were dropped by FE_Imposter: he viciously threatened Rybean in private, setting an arbitrary deadline for him to apologize, then made a post where he brags about this and posts private logs before Rybean could apologize anyway. Mekkah called this snake behavior and thus contributed to Rybean explaining everything (2 groups: support group for Goosaphone and the-broken-boyz (a private group in Goosaphone community where they colluded). The support group either knew about Rybean's identity or only that truth_fe is Goosaphone's friend masquerading as a neutral party. Ryn was attacked by truth_fe the very day Goosaphone posted her accusations - one of the screenshots show Goosaphone saying in the-broken-boyz that she's in full support - to Rybean posting the logs with Ryn as truth_fe).

Fast forward 2 years: Mangs came back, made mention of this hypocrisy, now it's no longer detestable to Mekkah. In fact, it didn't happen. It's just a conspiracy theory cooked up by Mangs.
Here's where in his video he shamelessly lies / does a 180:
https://youtu.be/d8JDGEx0A-Q?t=2436 40:36 - "The group" instead of 2 groups. It was public information, Mekkah called it out, now it didn't exist.
https://youtu.be/d8JDGEx0A-Q?t=2676 44:36 - Still the same lie of there being only 1 group.
https://youtu.be/d8JDGEx0A-Q?t=2861 47:41 - More of the same shit.
https://youtu.be/d8JDGEx0A-Q?t=2987 49:47 - Mangs "accuses his accusers of being hypocritical." His accusers were outed as being hypocritical, Mekkah contributed to outing Rybean.

There. They always destroy themselves. It's not even interesting.

Anyone picking up Engage on launch or are they waiting for reviews? To me it looks like utter dogshit, so I'll pass on it if its as bad as I think it'll be.
I'm gonna pirate it. If it ends up surprising me, I'll spend some money on it. But, I do not have enough faith in this game to put money up before I see what's inside with my own two eyes.

Interesting preview:
TL;DR
>Bland Fates-tier story
>Gimmicky flat characterization
>Next to no romance supports
>Next to no variety with map objectives
>Mediocre map design
>Extra side content and mini games are completely pointless

Mobilefags and Gachafags get the rope. Its not enough that they shit up their side of the tracks, they now are infecting core gaming as well. This shit sounds as bad if not worse than Birthright, which I honestly didn't think was even possible.

Revelation?
I haven't played Revelation yet so I wouldn't know. I started it after I finished Birthright and Conquest but didn't have the stomach to play through it. Is it really worse than Birthright??? If so I dodged a bullet.

You get those 2 units in chapter 15...lol

The balance is horrible, the story is shit and the maps are gimmicky and shit.

In one map you shovel snow.

I kind of figured that the only thing that game was capable of doing was looking vibrant. Outside of the retro maps, that siege level in the mountain kingdom, and the 2 fog of war maps; I haven't really seen anything that's particularly interesting.

And most of the passive abilities for the advanced classes favors playing aggressively or keeping your guys in an very specific formation... But I doubt if none of this will matter, considering how easy the game looks.

I take the bullet of Engage being a waste of fucking money if it's true (according to Mangs, the leaker is one of those that usually scores) that FE 4 is getting a remake.

If true, it's probably gonna be a day one buy for me... as long as they don't get funny ideas changing too much of the gameplay. This is the Fire Emblem game i've been wanting to play all my life.

If Echoes is any indication then expect it to be aggressively classic

I listened to the review.

I think I am pretty similar to the reviewer.
The guy kinda skip some cutscenes and does not care about the story in fire emblem games.
The characters are a bit one note like in fates.
No romance is actually good imo because it means no child units.

For maps objectives he said they were a few good varied ones so I a bit better than 3 houses(maybe).
For the map design and difficulty I wonder if he played on hard or maddening.
Most of the side activities offer very small boost and the guy had to play kinda fast.
He nearly finished the game, he's like at the final chapter.

It's kind of an in between conquest, birthright and 3H gameplay wise I think.
If maddening and hard are well balance it could be fun. Also maybe there's some fun ways to play like awakening no pair up or 3H with only mages/bow/flier/girls/guys etc.

Also I trust the reviewer he was fair to chained echoes right after (indie rpg with a ton of hype)

Expect Nintendo to capitulate like pussies, because we all know that nobody is allowed to defy trannies.
This same exact situation happened with Shiver in Splatoon 3 and Nintendo didn't capitulate then either. Nintendo of America and their localization team (Treehouse) has been fucking around with gender options in games like Animal Crossing where you just "pick a shape" instead of boy or girl like in other languages, but I haven't seen more than this. Certainly nothing like the Bridget fiasco recently. I doubt they're going to suddenly capitulate to the whims of trannies anytime soon. Perhaps I'm just optimistic on this though.
I am ignorant as fuck about FE since the only other one I played is Awakening, but Engage from the outside... looks incredibly faggy and like pure nostalgia bait. What's the impression from veterans at the moment? Excited or weary?
The most common impressions I've seen from FE "veterans" that I've heard is that it's a good thing multiple routes are gone and that the story will be shit. From this particular FE "veteran" though, the actual gameplay seems to be very much inspired by FEH, the mobile game. Not just with surface level stuff like summoning past heroes ,that's pretty obvious. But they've carried over other things such as lower move stats across the board, smaller maps, and the SP stat which is used for learning skills. The new weapon triangle system where you prevent a counter attack and deal extra damage if you initiate combat with weapon triangle advantage also mirrors the hyper offense state of FEH has been in for a while where WTA is very important and every meta offensive unit/skill set one rounds every other unit in the game expect for a select few tanks if they initiate combat. The graphics are of course very faggy but even from the beginning of FE they've just used the current popular style (see FE4's huge hair tufts), so hiring a V Tuber artist to make every character look ridiculous with an over saturated color palette is disappointing, but not surprising. I will almost certainly be skipping it, can't even be bothered to try and emulate it really.

The Egg from his video posted elsewhere in the thread summed it up pretty well in that this is most like going to be a very divisive Fire Emblem game and that discourse surrounding it for a long while will be awful. Thankfully devs like Squeenix have been picking up the slack with games like Triangle Strategy and The Diofield Chronicles so we're not exactly hurting for SRPGs even if Fire Emblem is kinda shitting the bed right now.

As for the Kartal/Mekkah stuff released recently, it's nothing we didn't already know. Kartal is extremely melodramatic who burns bridges with every community he can and Mekkah is a faggot whiteknight. It's nice the he released the logs though, seeing Mekkah tell Kartal to "educate" himself on sex work because he thinks be an e whore is immoral is amusing.

I love how you can quote shit out of context to say that someone is gay, and you'll actually be right.

Yeah I'm pretty stoked for Engage, I'm all over that shit the second it leaks. The new mechanics look like a ton of fun and it looks very modular in how you can tweak the difficulty. Love how it looks and sounds, love that there's probably not going to be a four year long debate on who the TRUE antagonist is, and that the majority of the characters don't seem to be defined by some forced tragic backstory. Hoping for high enemy quality on the highest difficulty like in Fates, and can't wait to see how they repurpose the older maps to accommodate for all the insane new mechanics. I'm probably also the only one here that generally likes Revelations. The gba emblems, Tellius, and 3 Houses do a lot of the same shit that Revelations does like having a slog of an early game due to high enemy quality vs your shitter squad, giving you bad and pointless units late into the game, and stupid gimmicks that mostly just waste your time, but people like those games just fine in spite of those aspects. A lot of the hate that Engage is getting seems similarly forced and contrived to me just purely out of hate for the game looking too much like [Insert Modern Japanese Thing You Don't Like Here], but after the total dogshit discourse and community that the Fodlan games attracted, frankly, I'd love for more of the supposed hardcore Fire Emblem fans to fuck off for a bit if the newest one being "too anime," whatever the fuck that means, for a series that literally has had an anime, is a dealbreaker.

In my experience in the FE community, Tellius and Fodlan are the most obnoxious fans. Tellius fans just want to talk about whether Ike is gay or not (their answer is usually yes, and if you disagree you're a bad person) and Fodlan fans also want to talk about who is gay, but also argue over which character is the biggest woobie who is absolved of all wrongdoing because their mommy died or something.

Enjoy the simplicity of Engage while it lasts. Soon as a Genealogy remake drops, we're going right back into stupid debates over incest, sexuality and orientalism.

Someone had allegedly livestreamed the game on YT
Funny how that comic predicted the armor knight being a yurifag (his personal skill in game has him take -2 damage if two girls are within two tiles of him)
I'm not exactly sure when that comic was made, tbh. All I know that it was recently translated

And some pics of the artbook have been floating around on the web and apparently, two of the final units that you can recruit are senior citizens.

Stuff like those photo you posted give me faith that even if the game isn't the best it'll still have some fun moments that'll make it worth it.

Yeah, but whether it's the story or the side content, it's designed to be as obvious as an brick to the face. Speaking of which...

I kind of guessed this as soon as I saw the mural and most of the trailers. And I don't know which difficulty that this screenshot is from, but it's almost concerning.
