"Compelling" storylines from the NOA Website for Three Hopes, absolute yawnfest:

View attachment 3344931

Basically taking the TWSITD bits from Verdant Wind/Silver Snow to slap in on Black Eagles, Blue Lions stays the same and now Golden Deer will deal with niggers no one cared about.
So is Dimitri going to lose his shit or no? That is basically the thing selling me on this Warriors game as we need unhinged eye-patch boy going on a rampage against 100 mobs.

I sure hope so. That'll pretty fun if Koei decides to go with a time skipped route. Interesting to see how the new MC Shez will play into everything, since Byleth is the "villain" now.

Since nothing has been happening for a while, i wanted to bring attention to this "story" that is semi related to FE and know if anyone else has info about it.
So in youtube there is this guy called Harvester of eyes, he uploads videos on SRPGs like fire emblem, but also the kaga saga games, shining force, front mission, and even some SRPG studio indie games. The thing about him however is that he appeared to have a huge hate boner against youtube, constantly making videos complaining about demonetization, shutting down the youtube comments in all his videos and shilling shitty youtube alternatives that no one has heard off and will probably die in a year like Utreon, basically your average jewtube algorithm wageslave. Now here is the thing, it looks like his channel was nuked for a bit due to false copyright strikes, and it seems to have made him go so ballistic he took down all of his channels videos except for this temper tantrum he uploaded yesterday:
Archive since i bet he will delete that video in due time:

I am still watching this video as i am writing this, but he just complains about the "bullies" that didn't compliment him and let his channel grow (despite him not helping himself by turning off comments) and how youtube's userbase is evil incarnate who would sell off their grandparents to the nazis.
He also had a blog called SRPG academy, but looking for the site only leads me to a "this users account has been suspended" which means he either DFE or maybe the site's admins took the site down because he posted a manifesto about shooting up the youtube HQ or something. I also tried looking for his Utreon account and also a Reddit i believe he had (but may just be a case of mandela effect from my part) but they also seem to be gone.
So the TL;DR is: Autist has channel about SRPGs, complains youtube is buttfucking him, instead of trying to go around it he just shills alternatives and makes his channel a hugbox, then throws a tantrum and DFE.
If anyone has any info about the guy or an archive of his videos or his website i would really appreciate it.

Now that wasn't what I was expecting to see. I had watched that guy every once in a while, and obviously I caught on to him being autistic mighty quick thanks to the lack of comments. Not really surprising that this ended up being his hill to die on. I did save a video he did where talked about how he liked Harken's character since he unlisted it some time ago, but I've got nothing otherwise. It's a shame too, his videos weren't at all bad and he just goes ape shit because he got picked on by a Youtube robot.

I actually checked out what this guy had been up to quite recently, so it's interesting (and a little sad) he's imploded quite recently.

For the uninitiated, which I imagine is most people, Harvester of Eyes is/was a strategy RPG youtuber and autismo elitest. Think Fire Emblem, Langrisser, Shining Force, and so on. Really liked Shining Force, Langrisser, and a lot of other old and clunky SRPGs. Decried Final Fantasy Tactics as the worst SRPG of all time for reasons I was never too sure on other than elitism. He did reviews and other general scripted content about SRPGs on his channel and eventually uploaded his stuff to Utreon and other youtube rival sites. To my knowledge, he was basically the only strictly SRPG youtuber/reviewer, which is pretty evident by the fact that despite making pretty decent content he never really took off in popularity at all.

Over the years he ended up getting really disgruntled with youtube, which over time resulted in him uploading his videos to other youtube competitors, disabling comments and like/dislike ratios on his youtube videos, enabling as many ads as possible on them, and other general fuckery in an attempt to get people to migrate off the platform on on to Utreon or whatever the fuck he was using. When I last looked at his channel he was complaining that he had gotten a strike on his channel for an old video, which is basically when youtube arbitrarily hands out a bad boy badge to a channel for violating one of it's guidelines or seriously infringing copyright. In return you lose some benefits, but the strike will go away after a while. To be fair to him youtube has a lot of problems and I actually agreed with him on most things, but he always sounded very whiny about it, like how dare youtube impede him in any way kinda deal. He frequently came off as very condescending towards his youtube viewers despite them making up almost all of his viewer base, so I think that contributed to his channels' declining analytics his mounting frustration.

Other than that he started up a forum called SRPG Academy which was meant to be a place for SRPG fans to come together and discuss the various games. When I last looked at less than a month ago it had probably less than 15 unique users and almost all the activity was just him posting his videos and smaller written reviews on it. As it turns out acting like a dick to your fanbase and actively not engaging with them at all will not endear them to you and make them want to go on your little website. Well, that along with the fact that he never networked with other youtubers and SRPGs are a very niche subgenre to begin with. I checked and SRPG Academy no longer exists. Neither does his Utreon page from the looks of it.

It's a bit of a shame but given the niche nature of his channel I doubt a complete archive of his videos will ever come to be. He had some decent videos and would review new SRPGs to give people an idea on whether or not they were worth your time or not. In the end I think he just couldn't swallow his pride and just accept youtube for what it is in order to further his other goals of starting an SRPG forum, so he ended up having a meltdown and going scorched earth.

Granted, I haven't watched the video yet so maybe there's some "shocking evidence" I'm not aware of. I'm going to eventually make another post discussing it in more detail but I don't think there's much long term lolcow potential despite him having quite the apoplectic meltdown.

I already watched the video entirely and it's just as you say, only really interesting point is right at the beginning where he claims he gifted something to another youtuber but got ignored, otherwise the rest of the video is him melting down about how YouTube is evil incarnate, bringing up a fucking middle school grudge he has about some kids bullying him, unironically quoting Avatar: The Last Airbender for some "deep comeback" i guess? And saying how everyone he hates likes games he dislikes like Fire Emblem Awakening and he is one of the only true SRPG fans because he can name multiple SRPGs and has played over a hundred of them. I also found his channel and was interested but go figure, his attitude and having his channel on lockdown made not want to watch his videos (i remember in the description of one of them, i think it was shining force? He made some huge rant where he cited fucking Smash bros melee tierlists as to why he was right, and that made me realize he was a sperg), but i guess it's easier to blame youtube. Despite that, I can't help but feel he was right on some things in his rant, like how you mentioned youtube being shit, or how he called out other SRPG channels that try to make themselves look like experts on the genre but never play more than 1 or 2 from the same franchise (cough Mekkah cough) but his attitude just really makes it clear why people wanted to fuck with him.

I'm half-convinced that they'll team up against Team Slither, at this point.
When you seek me you destroy me Rape my mind and smell the poppy's Fallen blood in every single time
Always keep me under finger
That's the spot where you might linger But I see sometime the pleasure in my mind
Yeah, here comes the water

New kino just dropped.

Looks like Shez went full murderhobo!

And here's an random boss fight featuring Team Glowie.

Compared to Age of Calamity, it looks like it could use some work; but we'll all play it for the plot, anyways.

The demo weighs 7.8Gb, tried it and can say this would have been better off as a DLC.

Storywise this is set again at the same point in time 3H was. Feels like a retelling. Shez gets his mercenary company leader and the second in command killed by Byleth. The first stage is a mission against Jeralt's mercenaries as a tutorial level. You learn the basics of Musou games to the tune of Fódlan winds, Shez's starting class is Myrmidon.

When his comrades are killed in battle (which btw are a generic Pegasus Knight and a Fighter) he faces Byleth and almost dies. He is rescued by Arval in similar fashion as Sothis saved you in base game. The abstract plane where Arval speaks to you looks vaguely Agarthan. Shez is promoted to a unique class called Floegel, seems to be a spellblade of sorts. Weapon durability is a meter to keep in mind for Combat arts, durability resets at the end of each chapter. The dreaded performance ranks from Hyrule Warriors return.

Mission 2 starts with the house leaders retardedly getting lost on the way to Remire. Tutorial continues here to explain wapon advantages, issuing orders and playtesting the house leaders we know and love.

We find out Shez is a boohoo orphan, his motives to take on the Ashen Demon and how Arval babysits his ass to not die. We fight Kostas again to the tune of "Tearing through Heaven" and meet Alois

Couldn't keep playing all the way to Chapter 4 since the 7.8Gb fully voiced acted demo glitches out on me and refuses to go past killing Kostas

Early spoilers from the routes courtesy of /v/ and /vg/
First cutscene is of Shez in an agarthan test tube, his profile also mentions him being born in the Leicester mountains, which was also where Shambala was located; his profile also mentions him caring about his adoptive mother
You save Monica from Kronya and she escapes, but Monica mentions Solon and the Remire plan, which makes Edelgard tell the church about it, she also appoints Bernie's father as the head of the western church so he gets killed, eventually she declares war on the church just like in the base game. Also Monica acts like a dyke towards Edelgard, and we get to see Caspar and Linhardt's dads, you also unlock Manuela and Jeritza
Dimitri's uncle, Rufus, actually was involved in the Duscur massacre, pulls a coup against Dimitri and seems to really hate him, calling him a monster and telling him he should have killed him in Duscur when he had the chance. He gets executed and we also recruit Rodrigue
Almost everyone is playing the other 2 routes so not much is known besides getting to see Holst, Claude's relative who seems to be called Shahid and calls Claude by his real name, Khalid, you also recruit Shamir apparently

Yeah, I've been playing the demo and so far it seems like a poorly paced retelling of Three Houses with a DeviantArt OC and some changes, like the Agarthans being discovered earlier. It's not nearly like any of the crazy theories so far and at times the writing has just been outright bad. I agree it probably would have worked a lot better as some sort of DLC for Three Houses. Still, the gameplay's pretty good and the routes genuinely seem unique in terms of story and maps. I hope they patch the outfits from this game into Three Houses.

Does anyone else sense that this is going to follow in the footsteps of Final Fantasy VII Remake and Spider-Man: No Way Home in that it attempts to “fix” story elements from the previous game? Obviously, Three Houses isn’t as revered as the original Final Fantasy VII or the first two Raimi Spider-Man movies, but I find it a tiring trend that media can’t have unhappy events without them being viewed as mistakes that need to be remedied.

This is some award-winning writing, right here.

And the real reason why Allow is railroading you is because the Church doesn't want to admit that they've fucked up and it's cheaper for them to enslave enroll you than it is to actually bribe you.

And the writing for the first mission is sheer cringe. I won't spoil it, but the dialogue is fucking hilarious compared to original game.

And @Flaming Insignias Ferdinard is more obnoxious than ever, so there's that.

Yeah, I am slightly getting that sense.

Three Houses is not a masterpiece by any means, but I do respect a lot of the writing, primarily when it comes to supports. The game has a strong cast, and an overall interesting idea for a narrative, but never comes together fully as they attempted way too much in little time. This game would do well to expand on story lines like Thise Who Slither’s conflict with El, but instead it is going for a seemingly generic everyone wins narrative with fanfic writing including a OC.

So far I am very concerned about Dimitri’s path. Most of Three Houses best writing was tied to this house as we got to see the nice guy crumble and turn into a feral animal. It seems this game is not going to do that, which basically rips out much of the tragedy and character of the Lions. Dimitri’s character is very much centered around him losing his shit, it would be a crime to miss out on that.

I'm slowly getting a sinking feeling that's happening as I play further, too, and I'm dreading it. The absolute worst thing they could do is have the story be that everything would have worked out better if Byleth was never involved.

I'm still watching that livestream and as far as I can tell, they've really trimmed the fat off the first half of Three Houses. Right now, the Church is getting involved in helping Edelgard "arrest" Team Slither for fedposting. Obviously, the ringleader will escape;but the plot feels like KT's think tank went, "okay, people hate our FE game because of how irrelevant the mole people are, so how can we make their arc even weirder?"
