I played it for an hour. It feels good so far, but I've only done the first 3 missions. Tanks and urban areas make the game feel different, I'm guessing based on the few previews I saw they end up being more of a late game thing though.

I don't understand how anyone can point out that the Seed's "weren't really the bad guys" without realizing that means that you and all the good ol' country boys you were fighting alongside with were the bad guys.
And this bullshit really pissed me off since I was happy to see good ol country boys (ya know, my literal neighbors, family, friends, co workers...) were finally being portrayed in a pretty heroic light. The fact I've always wanted a shooter where I can take on some Manson family types ever since seeing "Thou Shalt Not Kill...Except" as a teen was just gravy.

So the creator can ram it. I'm staying with my headcanon.

Decided to purchase FC6. Haven't played any of the games since the third, but one of the early missions seemed to be damn exact to the mission in FC3 where you burn down the weed farm, down to music playing during the mission.

Aside from that, no complaints here, seems fun enough.

That was one of the things I liked about the game as well and I liked how Ubisoft clearly did their research, while I've never been to Montana I have been to mountainous rural areas and Hope county reminded me a lot of it, it felt pretty true to life.

And I don't think the idea that the country boys are the real bad guys is set in stone, that's one way of looking at it but I think it's open to interpretation, I just thought the ending was a clever Twilight Zone style twist, not a "you are the real bad guy all along" as the Seeds are definitely still portrayed to be pretty villainous.

from what i have seen, people are not having fun.

Faggot journos/reviewers are not people.

Honestly, I still don't see why people lose their shit every time a Far Cry game comes out. I always see people say "nobody likes this" and yet they always sell gangbusters so somebody must be having fun.

*shrug* I'm having fun so far.

I mean, it's Far Cry. I don't get why it's held to such a weird standard by "gamers". I can get people not liking it or being tired of it, but the idea that it somehow hasn't changed enough compared to other game series is weird to me. It's Ubisoft. Much like Activision it's the fast food of video games.

Hello how is my precious baby Chorizo? Is he helping you in the game?

I saw the croc (croc? Gator?) in CallMeKevin's video. He started tearing the one guy in half lmao and he scurried around faster than Dani.

I just finally maybe got the item I need to unlock him. I don't see how he's going to be better than Guapo so far but we'll see.

Still enjoying the game, but I gotta admit the the 3rd person cutscenes annoy me.

I also unironically enjoying how fucking based Ubisoft comes off while seemingly trying to be woke. They keep making a big point on the first island that Dani should not flee to America because "The American dream isn't for brown people." and "They'll just make you park cars and pick fruit."

But then three seconds later make a big point about how Dani needs to stay and fight because it's the right thing to do. So basically "Stay and fix your own fucking country."

Also, I gotta say any journofag saying this is a reskin of Far Cry 5 didn't play the fucking game or clearly played on journo mode. So far, having enemies that are immune and weak to certain ammunition completely changes the dynamic of loadouts which greatly changes how one goes about planning an assault. You're no longer just carrying Close range, Mid range, long range and silenced. The bow went from being the most OP weapon in the game to being absolutely fucking useless unless you choose a specific role for it with what arrow type you'll use.

So at the end of the day, sure, if you're sick of Far Cry than this game probably won't change your mind. But at this point I don't think there is a god damn thing you can do to a Far Cry game to get people who just don't like Far Cry games to enjoy it.

Thats funny cuz it turns out theyre wrong. The secret ending has Dani chilling out in some miami beach living like a doctor while listening to a radio report about the Yara resistance getting fucked.

lol yeah I saw that completely by accident. I assumed there would be a secret ending if I got on the boat right away. So I went and I talked to Juan and thought I triggered the next mission, then decided I wanted to get a pickup I missed on the first island. Got halfway there then bam secret ending.

Edit: I just got to the cockfighting mini game. It's legit treated as a fighting game with a fighter select straight out of Street Fighter, health bars, victory counters and super attacks. Shit is hilarious.

I hope that if they keep going with those, they continue to be in the vein of "here's what would happen if you aren't a retarded psychopath".

I skipped New Dawn specifically because of the RPG health mechanic.
I skipped it because of the aggressively blayack antagonists and excessive Rage 2-style neon pink splashed all over. A game with a plot that basically amounts to "niggers take over and ruin everything they touch" sounds about as "fun" as a trip through Detroit.

I kind of get the feeling that Ubisoft considers the secret endings the "canon" endings (if you can even call anything in the Far Cry series canon)

You can find magazines featuring Pagan Min throughout the game, and there's a note with Boomer stating that Hurk was the one who shipped him to Yara.

Do any of your actions actually impact the game world this time around? It's always annoyed me how static the world and systems in these games stay despite you constantly taking out leaders, stealing supplies, and capturing bases.

So far, not really. I think a church bell tower stayed destroyed after a certain mission. An airport may or may not be in ruins after a mission as well, but I didn't go back to check if it stuck.

I found out the hard way that there are "alternate paths" in some missions when I accidently went out of an unmarked boundary and all the planning done beforehand went out the window and they told me to just kill everyone I saw. It was really weird because I literally walked like 10 feet away from an objective marker to grab a weapon case that popped up and everyone was yelling at me and Dani suddenly was like "Fuck the plan, I'm taking them out!"

Edit: I really *really* hate the 3rd person view shit in camps. It slows movement, and Dani's mouth doesn't even move when he talks...

I remember in FC5 the planes would sometimes spawn in the trees. In FC6 I just saw someone drive a car into the sea :story:
Also what's the deal with the respawn time of the enemies? You kill a guy in a tower, look elsewhere for a few seconds and he's back.

Respawns are fucked up for sure. I've killed all the enemies around an AA gun before, destroyed the AA gun, turned around and there's just three guys spawned out of nowhere shooting the shit out of me.

I haven't seen any fucked up plane spawns yet. But so far I haven't been in any overly mountainous regions either.
