Aw i just found out its only animals that fight alongside you in FC6. Would have liked two human characters like in 5 and ND.
:/
Chorizo is still the best boy though.
umm, there is a bear and a dog on fc5... fc4 uses baits to draw animals but they are hostile to everyone.
Bonking people with a shovel or a bat isn't the same as doing a staby staby takedown.
Also, the other points are still valid, far cry 3 and 4 got boobs in them, far cry 5 doesn't.
of course it isn't the same, the staby staby doesn't send motherfuckers flying away unlike the shovel or the shovel launcher.

Man, unless this guy is really full of shit this looks like the best Far Cry game so far. I really like getting rid of skill points for gear perks. Love the island setting. Even checkpoints that you can actually take over appeals to me after replaying Far Cry 2 again.

Some of the crafted weapons/backpacks seem dumb and OP but options are always good.

It looks like they've re-used some gameplay elements from other Ubisoft games (walking in 3rd person like in Erewhon from GR Breakpoint, the settlements from The Division 2, areas protected by anti-air missiles like in GR Wildlands, upgrade system from Far Cry New Dawn).
I hope that not every faction leader is a woman because that would be a bit on the nose.

Free content seems better than Far Cry 5. Wasn't it just weapon unlocks of previous weapons from the other games? At least now there are some missions. I wonder WTF Rambo shit is popping up in FPS games so much this year though.

Also seems they actually thought out weekly events better this time with them seeming to be pseudo missions instead of the "kill x amount of x with x weapon" system from Far Cry 5 (which was annoying as fuck once you beat the game and enemy respawns ground to a halt)

Season pass content seems meh to me. I know everyone loves Vaas but do I really need some weird pseudo backstory missions for him and the others? And a re-release of Blood Dragon? I already own it on PC so...

It's Ubisoft, of course every faction leader will be a woman. Every guy is going to be ugly, fat, evil or a caricature too, I bet.
honestly, i think it's kind of cute Ubisoft retreading the same shit, like "look at the retard going" type of cute.
they've been trying harder with these tropes than me trying to shitpost on the farms, i would be concerned if they didn't try that shit.
does anyone remember that asscreed unity thing where ubisoft out of nowhere said there's a girl in the game and not even culture wars niggers gave a flying fuck?
one thing that you cannot criticise ubisoft is for their consistency in being needlessly stupid, even saints row is taking a piece of the ubisoft "remake the same game until it's generic enough" cake.

hate me for it but i'm buying this one, also it's like a scenario mission type of thing on all of the games, including blood dragon, they expect the fans of these characters to buy it because of that.
i wonder how much they paid the other voice actors besides soy baker to come back and do some lines again.

Since they keep trying to redo Far Cry 3, they should have made a 4-player co-op mode with its own story instead of a season pass with content that isn't tied to the main story.

To me one very unfortunate thing about lack of skill points is that it seriously disincentivized takedown setups. Getting 3-6 or more kills after a chain and sidearm finish was a fantastic rush and you got a ton of points for stuff like that. Not that you couldn't still do it in 5, but getting a nice reward for the effort of setting it up was a huge part of what made it worthwhile. I didn't bother in 5 as much largely because of that, and also how takedown chains seemed oddly finicky and unwieldy compared to the earlier games.

I'm one of the apparent weirdos who liked the towers in FC. It could be argued that there may have been too many of them but it never really bothered me. I'd also argue that they simply evolved into the perk caches in 5, and if I had to choose between the two I'd take the towers every time. Some of the towers in 3 and a bunch in 4 involved some brief puzzle, similar to some the caches in 5, but the reward in 5 was almost always in some shitty dank cellar that I'd say was more repetitive and samey than the towers. Plus the towers being a tall vantage point in 3/4, you could actually see stuff around you and then wingsuit to wherever.

Clearly Ubisoft was trying to move away from its reputation of having samey gameplay among its franchises but the AC series where it started is the one I which I always found, and still find to be, the most tiresome in finishing its towers. Never bothered me in FC.

I'm not going to trust any of these previews, tbqh.

I've watched about three of them, and for being told that they were able to do whatever they wanted, they all seem to be following the same beats and nobody seems to pick a Male main character.

No matter how much it may have improved over its predecessors, it's still a Far Cry game, and that means it's basically the same as every other entry since 3 with some minor adjustments.

imagine it, a standalone (free) far cry coop that gets extended by mainline releases and unlocks in there give you stuff for coop. want more shit, buy the games.
now imagine doing the same thing for asscreed multiplayer too.

just imagine being ubisoft, you have those super notorious IPs under your belt trying to make them work with GAAS and online multiplayer and the best you can do is shit out some BR clone no one even remembers and other crap I already forgot about too (wake me when that coop mode for poor abused siege comes out)

The game looks like it could be fun. But I don't trust Ubisoft one bit. 5 was far too unintentionally based by Ubisofts own admission so I'm assuming based on these previews they're going too swing way too hard in the woke girls rule the world route

If this has running around with a shovel in it i might pirate it. Bought 5 just cause i could run around with shovels and sneak take a outpost. Didn't even sneak a bit just ran around smacking people with shovels. That was some fun shit.

I hope not. I don't really care if there are a lot of women in the damn rebellion, just if they act like tumblr bitches or are fat.

Still, I'm going to hold off at least a week to check out actual gameplay. It's true you can't trust any dev/publisher/previewer these days.

I always like towers (towers in AC and FC, hacking the little stations in Watch_Dogs) because they're just little, simple "puzzles" that give you a view, but I'd take the caches over the towers, the caches had actual stories with them and I thought there was a great variety in the scenery and solutions.

I was surprised at how based Far Cry 5 was and I question how much of it was actually unintentional.

Remember, just because there's social pressure to appear Woke on the surface doesn't mean that everyone in game development doesn't secretly feel differently.

Never forget that there was a whole mission devoted to Trump pee tapes and John Seed says God is angry with Trump
