Love me a good EDC thread, so contributing without memes:

Note: I work for a tactical gear company that specializes in leather accents so I get a lot of free shit, I promise I'm not shilling

Left to right:
  • Whiskey7 LWP S.P.E.C. Pack (EDC fanny pack)
  • Velocity Systems LV3 soft plate (I stuff it into the fanny pack to protec my balls and alternately my heart if I sling the pack up around my chest)
  • Phone
  • CRKT flipper, I don't recall which model
  • Glock 43x
  • 2x 15rd mags. My wife got a 43x on consignment and it came with those mags and she didn't like them so I took them. Not sure the manufacturer.
  • Chinesium flashlight
  • Walmart brand earbuds
  • Car key
  • Disposable vape and lighter because I can't get enough nicotine.
  • W7 wallet
  • Seiko Sport 5 that was an anniversary present but doesn't keep time for shit. I love it though.
  • W7 Ranchero gun belt. Has a little curv insert on one end for a holster to clip onto for better rigidity.

I have the mega auts when it comes to having stuff in my pockets so I prefer to carry everything in a bag or fanny pack like this.

Everything fits nicely except the stuff I wear or clip to a pocket.
The fanny pack has a nice magnetic fidlock pull on one side as well so taking it on and off is more convenient than reaching around to a buckle in the back.

What's yer pants? TBH I hate wearing any man purse anywhere. Working in a field were there are random bag inspections I'll get my ass being inspected for rocking a Gardner Snake patch or wear anything with 5.11s. If yah wanna not get spotted by LEOs don't wear those. Buy a conceal carry for your belt.

Anyways great set up! Anybody who isn't a LEO will think it's a vape Bag.

I'm usually wearing some kind of Chino shorts or jeans.
It's not so much an issue with pants as it is one with my Hank Hill ass giving my belt very little to work with in terms of a shelf, which means lots of shit in my pockets equals my pants slowly doing an escape act.

I have an iwb for the glock when I have to dress more formal but the fanny pack does me fine for day to day and keeps my pocket related autism at bay and prevents my gitch from getting all plastic-sweaty.

Such is life

I like DA/SA firearms because they’re safe to keep in a pocket and pocket carry is the easiest thing for me because it’s below 90°F for about two or three months out of the year where I live, less time if you go by heat index. Also makes parkerized or stainless a must.

Current guns in rotation are a Beretta 80X, a Beretta 3032 if it needs to even more fit in my pocket, and ultimately a S&W 649 with a belt clip that works much better with athletic shorts than anything with a belt. The Smith is loaded with Federal HST .38s +Ps because they’re meant for 2” barrels and are shaped like a soup can so they expand to about double their diameter. I shot .357s out of it twice, not planning on doing it again.

Update to my pile of shit in my pockets.
I'm officially ditching ballpoint pens because I'm a spergy nerd and need to be different. Also fountain pens are fun.

Got a Kaweco Sport to carry around and I'll do that until it starts being a pain in the ass. Teeny pen. When you uncap it, it's about the size of a golf pencil, and is a comfortable length when you put the cap on the back. Also got a kiwi keychain from a coworker who went on a work trip to New Zeland. I assume he's surprised I'm actually using it.

Nutnfancy, is that you?

Primary Arms is having a clearance sale right now and they've got a few knives on sale, including that Kershaw Fatback I posted earlier for $23.

Also worth looking at their lights (weapon mounted and handheld) and other stuff like gun belts, etc.

Here's what I run when it's hot as fuck out or I want to be lighter overall.*

*-finally figured out how to resize images so I'm not bombarding you all with enormous bullshit. Turn out even boomer faggots can learn a lesson.

Anyone carry backpack? I was thinking about getting a backpack carry in addition to my normal carry.
I do. Keep a laptop, first aid and trauma kit, various cables/chargers, spare mags, various tools, etc. It's pretty nice but some establishments dont appreciate wearing backpacks

A really good alternative to the S&W 60 is the Rossi Model 88, they basically bought tooling from S&W and made them down in South America. They are excellent, crazy value for the price. Very sturdy construction. View attachment 6226960

(t. I own one and I am extremely biased)
I am very late, but yes. Revolvers in general are good EDC firearms. Statisticly, if you have 5 rounds, 38 special most likely in a snubby, you'll be fine in a fire fight. If you're uncomfortable with that, Bianchi makes really good speed strips for quick reloads.

My current rotation is my Beretta 84BB .380 with a Sticky holster for everyday, my Smith and Wesson 4006 .40S&W in an Urban Carry holster with three spare magazines which I sometimes swap for my old dependable Smith and Wesson 439 9mm if I want something lighter. Occasionally I carry my Smith and Wesson model 19 .357 Magnum. My daily drivers for knives are the Buck 110 I've had since '02, an Extrema Ratio and a SOG assisted open I've had since like fucking high school. Truck gun is a Remington 870 12-gauge. Considering getting something for backpack carry, kind of leaning towards the Stribog 10mm but haven't decided yet.

Does anyone else carry an LC9? How is the reliability with firing/jamming? I’ve only fired one for a single mag dump and it worked pretty well. Very small too, and has a side safety which I prefer over the stupid ass Glock trigger safety. I feel like I’ll blow my balls off with a Glock and it’s lack of safety features.

Not much info on the LC9, but the SW shield seems to have a good reputation and is a similarly sized gun, with an availability manual safety.

A properly designed kydex holster will block the trigger from being pulled and serve as a manual safety.

Also the smaller guns are less enjoyable to shoot, but you should be shooting with your carry gun frequently to maintain proficiency.

I carry a Makarov PM with a FAB Defense holster and grip. Can't go wrong with a slightly modernized take on old fashioned ComBloc reliability.

Anyone fuck with incorporating medical into the shit you carry around? I'll throw my ifak in my pack for hikes or long trips but I've been toying with the idea of keeping at least a TQ, quick clot, and a couple of chest seals on me more often. Seems over the top but if it's not uncomfortable or obvious I see no downside besides a potential legal one. I could possibly see a prosecutor trying to say I was looking for some shit if I have to defend myself and have a basic trauma kit on my ankle at the time. Truth is I want to carry this shit because I work around heavy machinery that can easily rip a hand off of in the case of a failure cause shrapnel but prosecutors don't care about that.

Carry medical and don’t worry about what a prosecutor might think. You are more likely to need medical than a weapon.

Very based. I don’t have much personal experience with emergency situations that may either require a gun, knife, or medical prevention/intervention. I haven’t thought about the medical side of things. Thank you for providing me with a new perspective
