I'm not glad this was happening to Meigh, I don't think any woman deserves to live through that, but I still have absolutely zero sympathy for her. As many others have said she must have known exactly what kind of person Ralph is and the situation she was putting herself in, and unlike many women in her situation had the luxury of being able to escape.
