Niggita is one of the biggest fucking faggots I have had the displeasure of seeing in game development (with others like World of Warcraft directors, countless boomer shooter trannies, Cruelty Squad dev etc.). Only thing that pompous ruski dickhead can do is lie and then throw a childish tantrum when even Redditors (out of all people) call him on his bullshit. I bought the game in 2018 and ever since then the game deteriorated in so many ways. Note: I have not played since before Streets/Lighthouse released, whichever was first.

Sure, in 2018 it had insane netcode issues/desyncs (which they might have never really fixed) and abuse of macros, but the more they added to the game the more issues arose. The performance has somehow continued to get worse and worse, even with new CPUs/GPUs (which barely had any impact on how dreadfully the game ran). The main point where it all started to go to shit was Tarkov getting "mainstream"/twitch popular. The influx of streamerfags and their gay viewers just brought in all the metafags and most importantly the hordes of Chink/Ruski/Pajeet cheaters, creating one of the worst cheating situations in any FPS I've played, which by reading all your posts here, has never been mitigated. And after all, why would it be, considering that BSGfags would rather just let them cheat and RMT, then *maybe* ban them after several months, just so they can buy/hack another account. Wildest part for me was trying that Chink ripoff of Tarkov, Arena Breakout Infinite, when it came to Steam, and being kind of stunned how it's basically the same thing, just actually runs how a normal videogame should run in 2025.

If there's anyone in this thread thinking about the game, do NOT buy any other edition than the cheapest one, as there is a big chance that sooner or later you'll get sick of the game, devs, playerbase or all of them.
If I ever get an itch to try it after the release, I'll just play it in SPT (the only worthwhile version of the game), before I get inevitably bored and go back to autistic strategy games.

Very fun and unique for your first few hundred hours. Though you'll start to hate it equally as much and turn into of the raped niggers above me in this thread if you start sweating in it and taking it too serious.
If you like STALKER and you can accept that you'll be getting abused then give it a try.

Yes but standard edition, don't go higher. And keep your expectations low, just getting out of raid alive is an achievement when you're starting out.

Tarkov is a very mixed bag for me.

As a massive gun autist the shooting gameplay and gear customization has huge appeal and is what keeps me coming back.

Where the game falls apart for me is mostly in quest design and progression. The cheating issue is bad but the former is always what actually makes me stop playing. Even with pve it's a slog of repeating the same arbitrary and unengaging quests you've already played a dozen times. Even using quest guides the time investment required to get to the late game is insane. It makes me wonder what percentage of people who get to max traders are cheaters and or unemployed.

I already bought this piece of shit game with the standard edition, and I'm not paying again just to play in PVE so I don't get raped by cheaters and people without lives who do nothing but play the game and make meta builds. Rust is my second most-played video game after Tarkov. I think Rust is worse, actually, because at least with Tarkov, you have a stash where you can store goods that no one can touch, and if you are really down bad, you can scav. Scaving is the best way for a newb to learn the maps and get gear with little cost to themselves. Using car extracts and upgrading the intelligence center will give you a sub-5-minute cooldown on your scav, so by the time you are done sorting and selling on the flea, your scav will be ready. It's a nice break from the grind of PMC and I definitely spend days just scaving when I want a change of pace.

A thing I don't like about these kinds of games is that if you join in late or aren't good enough, or just even if enough time passes, everybody gets maxed out armor and a juiced out rapemachine w/ a 100 round extended mag

I get this, but I don't know of a solution besides wiping the servers. Apparently, we are going to have a forever character and seasonal characters that will wipe twice a year. The progression mechanic is what makes it fun for most people. HC wipe was a big bust because people weren't rewarded for their effort and had to wait for traders to become unlocked for everyone before they could progress. It literally killed the game.

Yes, I want to progress fast and shit on people below me. I've also started mid-wipe a couple of times, and IMHO it's not as hard as people say. The focus should be exclusively on questioning for traders until you can gear up. Furthermore, all the beginning quests will be empty of players, so that part is much easier than having to fight five other players who have the same quest as you.

There has been scuttlebutt for a while that someone in BSG is the one making the cheats, so basically, BSG is getting the revenue from the game AND a percentage of the subscription money from the cheats they sell out the back door to cheating companies. It honestly wouldn't surprise me, which is why, if the cheating situation hasn't been solved, I plan to do my best to make the experience as miserable as possible for legit players until they quit. It's what nikkita deserves. If it ever comes out that BSG is the one selling the cheats behind the scenes, it will be such a shitstorm.

This is one of the big things I'm looking forward to. I really enjoy pvp but I'm going to have fun in like a year when there's a fuckton of mods for SPT and a full line of story missions.

With proper mods and all that we can have what is basically a complete single player game. I'm actually hopeful that BSG starts development on their Russia 2028 project, if they just use Tarkov assets and code then they already have a massive headstart on a proper single player RPG.

I'll stick to ARC now that its out, is it more casual? fuck yea.. but it completely lacks cheaters as of yet, and there's no way to become more durable than other players, just more lethal, which is irrelevent with how good the gadgets are.

I'm Thankful for what Tarkov did in that it put the genre on the map, but it will never not be a pit of misery and cheaters.
