I have read that. It does address the part of Iliad that had Helen show that she was forced to be with Paris against her will. At no point does she actually seems in love with the little prick. Ellen page is smaller than me, and I’m about the shortest woman i know. The idea of her playing Achilles is just ridiculous. I don’t find Brad Pitt attractive personally but you can see him playing some chiselled Greek warrior

I know this thread is about Ellen and yes her playing a male warrior is beyond absurd, but Im sorry that image of the new "Helen of Troy" is stomach turning. This lunacy is the apex of mental/psychological torture, being forced to pretend that thing is beautiful and that a physically mutilated creature is masculine. Its all demonic at this point.

On this point, they could have at least had Lupita grow her hair out/wear extensions/whatever for this role. She looks more like the Childlike Empress from The Neverending Story than Helen of Troy with that really short hair style & diadem accessory. And it's not like Lupita has never worn a hairstyle that would better compliment the role before, either.
Does this make her look more like Helen of Troy? I mean, no. But it'd at least be closer to what I would expect a representation/facsimile/interpretation of that character to be. Some random Instagram pic of her looks better than whatever she's wearing for the movie.
Either way, Ellen being 5 feet tall vs. Lupita being about 5'4" or so just makes me laugh. Do you think they'll have Ellen wear those platform shoes they made Robert Downey Jr. wear for the Marvel-slop films? Or would they just use camera tricks/CGI to make her look taller? Very curious how it'll look in-context vs. the clips/screenshots.
