Further more, look at all the destroyed shit and MASSIVE alien superstructures and ships running around; shit is seriously fucked here. I can only wonder what horrors lie in wait for us plucky little soldier men this time...
Is this the first time EDF has really gone for such post apocalyptic horror? I don't think even 5 got this bad. And that one had CHILD SOLDIERS getting sent out in the final levels.
Iron Rain did the scenario of EDF pushing back the initial alien attack but at the cost of the Earth being a wasteland barren of any former civilization
From what I've gathered so far in EDF6 (a bit of EDF5 spoilers)
-Mankind is on the verge of extinction. Only 10% of the world's population survived the Primer attack
-the Storm teams are MIA
-Giant frogs (Colonists) were abandoned by the Primers and are forced to live on Earth. They took position in the ruins of cities and are often engaged against EDF troops, still refusing to communicate with humans.
-There are also remaining teleportation anchors from the past war that still spawn giant insects
-said giant insects keep breeding everywhere with little resistance from mankind
-Combat frames no longer seem to have legs as it's explicitly stated that EDF lost the means to mass-produce those parts
-the new alien invaders are trying to modify the environment of Earth by planting gigantic metallic trees around the world
-it's stated in the official website that the new tentacle alien (codename: Evil God Kruul) makes people lose their sanity by its sheer appearance.
Past screenshots confirmed there were still "intact" city maps so not everything is in ruins (yet).
