I never played it, I've barely dipped my toes into fan translations. I played a little bit of a Japan exclusive DS Fire Emblem where you make your own character, but that's it. Is the SNES version better than the DS one?
I’ll be honest, I haven’t played the DS one. Call me a graphics whore, but the game just looks cheap to me. Combine that with the two in one deal that the SNES version offers, and I can’t see myself touching the DS remake at all.
Considering the creator of Dragon Quest and Toriyama's manager went on interview mocking this woke shit, it appears that the main creators aren't pozzed but are too cowardly to actually fight SE on it or stick to their guns.
Fair enough, but it at least looks better than the NES version, it's so pixelated I can barely discern the map and units. The combat sprites are actually very well done though. I also enjoyed the DS' multiplayer.

I've only heard from other people but content wise the game sounds great. It's Dragon Quest III and it has all the Gameboy content including the Grand Dragon, alongside new content. This game should have been a smash hit well loved by everyone because you can't go wrong with III and this is mostly a beautiful remake of it, but the trannies in SE America just had to poison the well with the dumbass censorship.

I feel IV-VI are perfect as is in their style, maybe VI's remake could be fleshed out more because it feels like the devs for VI's DS remake didn't put as much effort as IV/V. I-III could have the HD-2D style, IV-VI can have whatever style the DS version are because those are still beautiful. I do think IX is in desperate need of a remake however. It's the only game in the series with no rerelease of any form.
