Tevinter mages caused the blight. And a Tiventer former magister also causes the rifts while attempting to ascend to godhood in 3. Also the mage rebellion and absolute unwillingness to compromise leading up to Kirkwall. There's lots of evil mage representation even amongst some circles, where they're making people tranquil and dogging them out after.
The only non divisive faction is probably the wardens I guess? They seem fine.
The Wardens aren't a stand in for "X oppressed group". I actually haven't seen much controversy around them. Whereas there are people going off on how the templars are all capital E evil and Mages could not ever do anything wrong because they are oppressed.

Same with the elves-strangely there isn't that much controversy over the dwarves actually. People were attacking Harding over being (understandably) upset with the elves in DAV because um she stands in for a White woman? Or something?

So in defense of Templars, they're often the only thing standing between demon possession, rebel magical assault, Tevinter blood magic, etc, and normal ass white bread folks. Shout out to best Templar ever, Alistair. The job is really thankless in the DA universe to be honest.

I think the least represented/interesting group is the elves for sure. Basically everything in DA falls after their self ruin. Boohoo we accidentally had powerful magical leaders that blighted and ruined us or whatever. DA3 reveals that Solas put the very real Elf Jesus and friends in magic jail, but otherwise they're kind of vapid. They're just whiners making YouTube videos begging people to buy their stuff on ebay.

If 4 messes any lore up, I'll never know cause that game is less enticing than anal fissures.

4 doesn't do anything but just confirm things Inquisition(especially Trespasser and the Descent) hinted at.

As well as clarifying a few mysteries from older games.

The rock wraiths-appear to be dwarves driven insane to cannibalism when the titans were sundered.
Spirits of the Fade are attracted to lyrium-it makes them more real(basically).

It appears...that a spirit created a body in imitation of Leliana-which explains her "resurrection" "the lyrium sung thought into being"

Cole's oblique references "the earth was afraid" and "she asked to him to come"-the titans fighting the evanuris, and Solas being Mythal's servant/attack dog respectively.

TLDR: DAV doesn't really introduce anything truly new, it simply confirms hints already existing.

Completely forgot....doesn't Shale find out she used to be a dwarf? (Also her actress was left out of the In Memoriam.....you had Duncan but not her. Odd.)

If you own PS+ then avoid it at all costs. Don't even browse it. The people behind it are so desperate to excuse it they might actually try and count "individual page accesses" in the number of "units" "sold".

the thing that got me about all the youtube reviewers is that they were so scared to point out the insufferable gender queer bullshit pandering and pointing out the pure cringe of it all even when they were roasting the game. They danced around it masterfully.

People are going to be too busy playing Monster Hunter to bother with Veilguard. The desperation is sad.

They were probably given talking points by Bioware or EA or both.

I love seeing such failure after so much pompous behavior and coping. Still a slower burn of failure than concord (will concord ever be beaten??? probably not) but amusing none the less.

Concord wasn't the latest installment in some storied franchise, though. Considering the degree of difference between the original game and this piece of shit, this is a flop and downgrade on the level of Jaws: The Revenge.

Seems like a once in a lifetime level of corporate failure, but I'm sure Sony will find a way to fuck up really badly again. It was a different division but still Sony that was so fucking gullible they re-released fucking Morbius in theaters because some retard thought the memes meant the internet liked it so much.

If they ever make a new DA game (fat chance) the only way they can save it if all of ass guard was just a dream or the whole cast got killed by a nuke.
