Aside from Patrick Weekes wishing desperately that he's a Qunari or he has a 65-inch knotted Qunari dick up his ass, why even make the Qun the center for trans and non-binary stuff?
they've spent time scrubbing away anything that gave friction within Dragon Age, people weren't supposed to talk to Sten and learn about the Qunari and their rigid, sexist societal structures where the concept of personal identity doesn't exist and have the Warden respond with "wow, pretty based" (i mean it is, but it's obviously at odds with the societal structures from the other races all of which are based on real world societies, (i.e. the Elven alienages/Dalish and Dwarven caste system).
the Qun as a religion was "bad" and rather letting it exist as its own cool alien religion that's conflicting with player's sensibilities they had to go and make it "less bad", introduce shit like Qunari terms for being transgender while they literally have re-education camps for anyone that doesn't fall in line.
Qunari were cool and interesting, compare Sten or even some immense faggot like Iron Bull (who was BioWare's vehicle for retconning all the stuff we learned from DA

) to someone like Taash with their "i'm non-binary mom!!! why won't you accept me!" spergout at the dinner table, this is something i expect a Tumblr user to behave like, not a fucking dragon slaying Qunari.
and none of this shit even makes sense in Dragon Age, does the concept of transphobia even exists? do we ever encounter a transphobe? the problem with Weekes or other trannies self-inserting/imparting their lived experiences onto fictional characters is that these fictional characters don't exist in a world where they are challenged, face adversity or deal with the social stigmas of having mental health issues unlike the writers, who all went through the effort of rewriting the lore of Dragon Age to be as accommodating, inclusive and sanitized as possible towards mentally ill people.
Taash is surrounded by people who are nothing but supportive, you the player are forced to be supportive, Isabela is lecturing you how to grovel for mercy if you accidentally slight a brave Troonari, why does Taash deal with this shit again with this kind of society accepting her and this support network sucking her dick at every turn? fuck off.
