I wanted to give Troonguard a shot just for the lols, since it's free an all, but I just can't force myself to do it.
Maybe in a few months time some mods will come out from the undergounds and make it a little less faggy.
This is me right here, except with Starfield when that came out a year ago. Couldn't even force myself to pirate that piece of shit once I saw how much of my hard drive that would take up.
You know what I did instead? I went to my backlog, I started playing more mods/romhacks, and went to get all the achievements in Dead Rising games, process which is nearly complete right now. Best decision I ever made, and I suggest everyone do the same. This game isn't even worth pirating, and if you're desperately curious just how bad it is, there is several streamers playing it so you don't have to. Any actual interesting tidbits will be covered in upcoming reviews and long-form essays or meme videos anyways.
Spoiler warning: For the "mods to make the game less faggy", it is a year later and there still aren't enough mods to un-fag Starfield, per my example. Don't hold your breath for Troonguard either. I wouldn't even know where to start even if I wanted to. I am looking forward to the meltdown Nexus will have when the mods to disable surgery scars start coming out, however.

I can't fathom the mindset of people so willing to frivolously throw money away at a product made to spite them. Glad to see this isn't happening so much with Veilguard.

Just watch the cutscenes online or something. It's just not worth it.

The cornerstone of liking this game seems to be sunk cost and mental illness. Ghil Dirthalen, who's been doing Dragon Age videos for years now, drops her review, and the last couple of minutes of it need to be heard to be believed. "[voice literally choking with tears] I know Veilguard wasn't perfect, but it was perfect for me." Quelle horreur!

Because they never played it and only talk about the things they heard from /v/, reddit or twitter.
The romances Dread Wolf don't really matter, considering how ugly everyone(your character included) are. Who the fuck wants anything to do with them, let alone see some sort of abominable animated safe-horny sex scene?
Or they just do not want to talk about every idiotic sexual encounter pc can have or came.unto contact because 1 example was enough?

I love the genuine anger he couldn't hide past a certain point

Well she isn't entirely wrong. This absolutely was made to appeal to millennial women with brain rotten political retardation. That's Bioware's core demo and has been since at least Inquisition.

I mean, remember, one of the chief selling points of this game in interviews and marketing was hair physics. That's a woman feature if ever I've seen one.

That being said I hope she gets hit by a comically large truck.

Troonari courtship is predictably the most frightening one. Imagine the post-coital scene, shudder.

Yes, in mythology it's all fine and dandy. And I don't doubt women were involved in hunting even though it was not the norm with something like Artemis. valkiryes I'd argue is more from the desire of being taken to valhalla by the calming form of a women instead of a bearded screaming man.

But in reality, the moment women enter the active fighting force, it means you are very fucked and in your final legs.
And i have never disagree with it. society never produces them on purpose.
Can women be good generals? Possibly, though I've yet to see a real world example I can point to. or at least what I've seen from the female generals in our current times fail to impress. But I can see a woman having that cold pragmatism that threads the line of not treating your troops like meat to throw in a grinder. Though I'm also a believer that the best generals came up from the ranks.
Never claimed good female generals, but there are compotent woman soldiers and captains. I also believe i gave some names. I also believe they can be good generals if they can be raised as such.
Soldiers? Not so much unless it's recent times. A woman can be the best of her spear unit but still suffer horribly against some average spear joe from the opposing force (just on average height, Joe has bigger reach and that's already a nasty handicap to deal with). This deviation decreases a lot with fire arms, though men still have the edge of better reflexes, higher weight capacity and thay aren't subject to mood swings and cramps once a month (god forbid you have a women block defending anything, their periods are in synch and the bad days get filtered out).
Again, if battles are fought without strategy, tactics, logistics etc, and instead was made as 1 on 1 duels, you are compleatly right. I also agree with everything you said. Like i said it is not about woman being soldiers it is about society living after it. Modern times can allow woman working and/or be on a battlefield. I do not know why you had to point this out to me. Perhaps you were explaining it further in that case i agree.
Most regular all female units were either ceremonial (women being trained in use of the naginata and bow in Japan) or for propaganda purposes (if girls can get it done, you better believe you can, now enlist faggot). Were they expected to see combat? If things were dire enough definitely. Would they be sent to the front if there were other male units to throw to the grinder? No way in hell.
Again, fully agree.
The problem with using women to fight isn't that you lose your ability to have children (though that's another reason). The problem with using women to fight is that they are a lot worse at it than men, so if you only have women in your fighting force due to the desperation of the times, you are already in a very poor possition and better hope you can hunker down till help comes or the enemy force is in it's last leg.

And that's without talking about mixed forces where women in the unit fucks with cohesion dynamics.
Again fully agree.

SPOILER if you romance the dapper necromancer.
He's not human. He's... wait, how does one fuck that thing?!!

ETA: What is with the ugly onesies these characters wear as underwear? Makes me also miss the white panties in the first game.

Second edit: Looks like NikTek has this game on their radar. YAAAS MAWMA.

God I miss Alistair, can't wait till life gives me some free time to replay Origins.

Therapists are usually the people that are the most fucked up in the head.

Didn't it come out that the pajeet in charge of character design specifically made white characters uglier because he is a racist? That's what lead to such treasures as "My face is tired" and Autistic FemRyder. Moreover, the animation team was also supposedly in-experienced, so it was a combination of actual lack of talent and intentional sabotage creating an unholy symphony of cringe to the sound of "I'M ONLY HUMAN".

I don't remember that. I do remember Cora being quite cute even if she had a "Can I talk to the Pathfinder?" haircut. I feel like the MEA characters were more mid than dysgenic, though.

This place isn't a fucking echo chamber;
No but it is a thread about Dragon Age and not bikini armor. Your sperging is off-topic. Regardless if whether or not you started the argument you are continuing to have it and derailing the thread into shit that is somehow more gay and retarded than its actual subject.
Besides, I even agree to some extent that women are more disproportionately sexualized than men. But women not wearing bikini armor isn't the issue here. It's that very recently game designers have decided that the only way to combat the apparent trend of women being overly-sexualized is to create increasingly homely female characters instead of just, you know, having them dress more modestly. Because they've somehow equated being physically attractive to wearing coomer hentai fetish attire like it's Queen's Blade.

Tarsh: Straight up asks if Rook wants to have sex with her.
Rook: Admits to a fantasy where they get pushed into the wall.
Tarsh; Proceeds to kabedon and then neck kiss and growl at Rook, who likes this.
Get this face:
Untitled.png

There is so much wrong with this scene. Tarsh has no intimacy. Just straight out asking for sex like talking to her mother by saying she's "non-binary". There's no tact or personal connection to Rook in the scene.
Take Morrigan and Leliana for example. Morrigan flirts with a male Warden by saying her tent is cold & the Warden can tell her to get a thicker blanket and Leliana talks in circles with a female Warden where she drops hints but said Warden is too dense and wants to write in a Journal instead. Humanizing connections that lead up to the scene, building intimacy.
All gone because Tarsh just straight up asks for sex.

Second thing about the scene, takes away player agency. They may initiate the romance but it's Tarsh that's dominating the scene. Maybe some people like this sort of thing and want to get dominated by a 8 foot tall Qunari but that doesn't appeal to me. I think Sera in Inquisition was like that if you went Qunari in that.

Third, Rook is utterly passive in the scene. Tarsh leans over in a very aggressive masculine manner. Then growls to show how feral she is and people are supposed to find this appealing.
Untitled2.png

Once you realize Tarsh is a self insert, everything makes sense. An OC specially created and self inserted into the story. This is fetish fuel for the writer to remind you of who's in charge and you as the player through Rook have no input into the scene at all.
