I know there's exactly a 0% chance of this happening, but I'd be down for Tilda Swinton as The Doctor. But if we get a proud back lesbian who don't need no man or another FUCKING WHITE MALE, then break out the tater tots and french fries (er, chips) Kiwis, the salt feast begins tomorrow.

Matt Smith didn't go out like a little bitch, and he had the best companion (Amy Pond and her legs). Plus he didn't spend his time mooning after any of his companions.

Either way I look forward to the actual announcement. I couldn't give a shit who the new Doctor is as it's well within the boundaries of the lore, as long as they're good.
 
My bet: It's going to be an "British" East Asian guy. The Doctor won't be Muslim, though (it wouldn't really make sense for him to be), the actor will be a Muslim of either Pakistani or Bangladeshi descent and the press will make a big deal about how progressive the show is and the actor will cash in on the anti-Islamophobia fashion in interviews.

having more then 12 regenerations or suddenly being a woman doesnt make sense either so idgaf if he's muslim, I still have a lot of dr who classics to go through.

No. It's been established that that he can become pretty much any sex or ethnicity. He could even be accidentally deformed by the process. But being a Muslim makes no sense because he is an alien that is centuries old.
 
My money's on the new doctor being played by some guy who's of middle eastern descent
 
There have been rumours about Kris Marshall becoming the 13th doctor. If that is true there will be a mountain of salt.

I'd rather they just shoot the series and reboot it at this point. LGBT representation peaked with based Jack Harkness, fuck these other bozos.
