The 13th Doctor will be announced after the Wimbledon Mens final later today. With the casting expected to be a woman, this is one of those rare events where salt is to be expected no matter the results.
 
I gave up on this show a long time ago, so I hope that they make her into the most insufferable genderspecial that talks about how it's so great to be a woman instead of an icky man every episode.

Breaking the circle jerk here, but they're replacing the head writer at the same time they get a new doctor. When Chris Chibnall takes control of the show there's an off chance that he won't be an utter tumblresque wanker like Steven Moffat. If they make the new doctor a woman, I'll actually be perfectly happy so long as she's CIS and grabs a male companion. The important thing at stake here isn't that we have a male lead, but that the show doesn't maintain it's death spiral into the land of homosexuality and neon hair colors.
 
I used to be a Whovian, but after seeing the show slowly degenerate into Tumblr's wet dream I honestly can't give a damn about it anymore.

I do, however, hope everyone jerking off to the 13th Doctor being a woman gets the worst disappointment of their lives, the fallout could make sure the whole world never has a famine for salt.
 
I just hope it's not a crescent-moon faced tranny. Michelle Gomez should have been cast as the Doctor.

So what's their bullshit excuse for exceeding 12 when that has canonically been the maximum number since the fucking early 1960s or some shit?

WARNING: AUTISTIC RAMBLINGS AHEAD
I started watching the series from the 2005 season up to the first twelfth doctor season.
I really liked the 9th doctor in retrospective, very down to earth guy, sad he only lasted one season.
Then the 10th doctor was annoying some times but he grew on you and it was clear he loved the role, and had good chemistry with the redhead chick.
The 11th was promising at first, a bit sociopathic and :autism: but he ended up being very annoying and forcibly memed and on very convoluted plots I liked the special with John Hurt because it called the last two doctors on their childish BS.
The 12fh I really liked at first, more mean, less spergy, kinda like the Hurt one and the girl was smarter, not a NEET and had a more independent life from him, besides they had made this whole character arc about 10 & 11th being childish because PTSD and now he had accepted himself so it was a perfect opportunity to end the series.
At the end I stopped watching it in n his second season when he starts acting immaturely in a very convoluted plot and stopped trying when they changed the girl.
