Not my usual cup of tea but I actually kind of enjoyed it. Felt like it had heart, even if the cast looked like something an uncool, annoying person considers to be 'cool' characters. The mighty midget is great though.

Apparently I'm in the minority for winding up with the blondie because ~27% of players did the same. I guess most others who played went for the asian chick or fumbled everything? Not sure which is more likely.

I loved the midget too! I really liked Flambae and the "popstar". I agree that it had heart. You could tell someone had a real love for superheroes. The heroes were larger than life and sure they might have been rough around the edges. The z team just needed someone to truly believe in them so that they could rise and meet the challenge and save the city. Kind of like Batman the Brave and Bold but aimed at teenagers.

It's not even fumbling, not choosing to romance either is a valid option. I liked Punchup, but once I realized it was Jacksepticeye I couldn't unhear him. (Along with Charlie as batboy)

I enjoyed it as a modern take of the Telltale formula, though I do think it needed a few more chapters because we went through broken to bonding to great team a bit too fast for my liking. I'm also one of those freaks that liked the actual dispatch gameplay, though the match the frequency minigame annoyed the hell out of me.

I just checked the Steam achievements list and there is one titled "We can just be friends - Kept Romance Out of the Workplace". Is that what you mean? Because only 14% of steam users got that one, might be because they didn't finish the game yet though. Either way that's still a smaller number than those who finished the game kissing someone. That has to mean that it's either a bad ending where you fumbled or that it was harder to do (ngl both of them really did lay it on pretty thick with how they wanted to pounce on the MC so I can see how it would take effort to get that ending).

I haven't seen Jacksepticeye in years so I had no idea that he was doing the voice. Didn't sound anything at all like how I remembered him but last I checked, he sounded like a leprechaun on amphetemines. As for MoistPenguinBatman, yeah that voice is unmistakably him. One of the most annoying parts of my playthrough was how the game kept re-using one of his lines to the point where it got on my nerves. The one where he says "Half man, half bat, all freak!" I swear it had to have been said at least 10 times. I should have kicked him off the team instead of the flying black goth chick.

I went with Invisigal because by the time you make the choice you haven't seen Blazer in like 2 episodes while Visi always has plot relevance so it just felt more natural. Doesn't help that this first date basically already sets your path in stone with no chance to change your mind. Or that Blazer almost disappears from the game if you don't choose her until the final 2 episodes when she suddenly becomes a main character again.
If it wasn't for this there would probably be a far more even split.
asian chick
You know you're got a real mystery meat character when everyone sees something different in her.

Im surprised to how many people failed the hero ending.
Im not surprised to see Blaze being a minority since as i said she get way less screen time. And story just makes more sense if you date Invi.
Same as waterboy, phenomoman is already a hero and he doesn't need as much help as waterboy.

Im playing Dispatch right now and I have to say Sonar do be my favorite of the Z niggers

That's what makes it obvious the TWD S1 writers were involved.

Clementine is the OG mystery meat.

Was there supposed to be a payoff with Flamgae hate of MechaMan?
I decided not to reveal my identity after the bar fight, and when it got revealed at the house party he wasn't there, so nothing fucking happened, and after that there was the hole fast nigga is dying drama, so nothing fucking happened for the rest of the game.

I actually feel like I made all the "wrong" choices in the game, not because they gave me a bad result, but because it feels like the devs didn't develop for the choices I picked. The Blonde Blazer is clearly the wrong choice, just based on how much screen time each romance option gets.

Anyways, the game is a mid capeshit series, I don't regret playing it, but I don't see myself playing a season 2.
Though the dispatch minigame was kinda fun.

I think the idea was that you might be worried that Flambae will turn on Z-team after the reveal, since he is missing for basically an entire episode. At least i had that thought.
Also i felt satisfied with Blaze as a romance option. But i see your point that game pick favorites at some point.
Not with Sonar vs Coupe though or with Waterboy vs Phenomoman. I feel like these are pretty close in terms of content. Plus all 4 of these are comic relif characters, so they fufill the same role.
Btw what was the excuse for Flambae to miss the party? Was he just an asshole as usual?

So he just isnt aware at all about your identity? Or someone informs him later?
He is aware, but there isn't a scene of him reacting to it, or confronting you. The next scenes with him he is simply okay with it, like there was some scene offscreen of him dealing with the knowledge.
The devs clearly couldn't add a scene between the party and the moment the team decides to remove Visi, so they just gave up.

The only thing the reveal choice does is giving Visi the heroism points and Flambae defending her during the choice of cutting her.

The fucking weird part is how Flambae doesn't say or do anything if you haven't told them you're Mecha Man

Made a first playthrough of this. Fun minigame, but the cringe writing sets it back, and Invisibitch is "too much", it's either someone's OC, or the smash-up of multiple insufferable character tropes in comics, which means she's literally not worth the trouble. Hell, she even has the Nose Ring of Warning!

On the plus side, the protagonist is a competent straight white male, which is rare as fuck nowadays, but it's clearly holding back a bit the wokeness. Screw modern writers.

So normie friends have been screaming at me to try this game out but they are normies, so I was super cautious.

Neglected to read the thread because of spoilers, so basically, I have two questions.

1. Is it fun? Is the gameplay worthwhile?
2. How is the cringe? Is there any cringe even? Not talking woke shit, just in general because upon hearing about the plot, it sounded like Suicide Squad to me and I don't wanna cringe at shit writing. Nothing is worse than quirky millennial humor writing.

Edit: Oh, I have a third question. So I was told that Charlie and Jackscepticeye are in it. I don't have high hopes and almost gave up on even giving it a chance because of that.

So uh, how bad is the voice acting aside from those two?

Turn off QTEs, and you will be left with a management game where you have to make educational guesses which is quite fun
QTEs are lame anyway

a lot in the first 2-ish episodes, but writing then becomes way better, and characters are actually somewhat likable

The dispatch gameplay is pretty fun, some think there should have been more but I think the game had the perfect amount to not feel bloated.

It never fell into the MCU trap of trying to be too quirky, There's some lines that are cringe but at large it's good. There's only a handful of moments that pulled me out of the game due to the writing, but they were few and far between.

Charlie and Jack are, in my opinion, pretty good. Both are used just enough to not wear you out, but not so little that it seems like a worthless addition. Charlie gets some shitty lines in the dispatch mode, including a "top ten anime betrayals" line, but I never thought either of them were terrible.
