I'm just thrilled Volition actually learned a lesson from their failures and is apparently giving fans what they want. That's incredibly rare in le current year where most developers respond to failures by shitting on their fans and calling them bigots or blaming "toxic gamers" i.e Bioware, Ubisoft ect.

Grand Theft Auto V.

I miss searching alleyways and random corners for hidden packages, spray tags, and better weapons.
I miss making fuck you money from being a rising crime star.
I miss side-diversions that are balls-out, fun and violent.
I miss eating, buffing up/getting fat.
I miss choice.
I don't want to play golf.
I don't want to play tennis.
I don't want to play the stock market.
I don't want to awkwardly train my fat dog.
I don't want to download a goddamn app to my real phone so I can train my fat dog.
I don't want to fail a mission for walking twenty feet past a building.
I don't want to mess with online bullshit.
I don't want to play a controlled interactive Scorsese movie. I want to have fun again.

What the fuck happened to Grand Theft Auto? It hasn't been good since San Andreas. Also with all the bragging Rockstar did about how giant huge the map is, the actual city is tiny. L.A. is not one carefully sectioned off Mexican ghetto and one carefully sectioned off black ghetto. It is a bunch of interconnected ghettos. California is not an island. Why is there only one strip club that you can enter?

The more time goes by, the worse V ages. I am apprehensive about VI. As pretty and big as it will probably be, they will never revert to the PS2 era of GTA fun.

it sold like what? 100 million copies? it's only gonna get worse.
it's boring as fuck and I dont get how people can have fun with this stuff.
Now I see everybody is hyped for red dead2 and I dont get it. The first one bored me to tears.

They just dont make games targeted to gamers anymore, but only to fucktards, it seems.

I just can't bring myself to care about Dishonored. Maybe it gets better later on, maybe I need to git gud, I just can't invest myself in that game.

Honestly GTA IV was a simpler game than V and I think that helped it age better, also the radio playlist isn't cringe worthy trope-ridden schlock. Red Dead Redemption in my opinion is a good game but BULLY deserves a little more love than those two, it's the only game Rockstar released that didn't rely on action movie or Quentin Tarantino movie tropes.

I tend to abuse the shit out of the steam refund policy because it's generally true that if you don't enjoy a game for the first 2 hours it isn't worth playing. Honestly I could put every Warhammer 40k game since Retribution on the disappointing list. I slogged through Dawn of War 3's campaign just because I was interested in what ol' Gorgutz 'Eadhunter was up to. Deathwing was almost an instant refund, it's a shame it wasn't done by the Vermintide people.

Oh yeah, I also fucking hated Destiny 2 after the first 10 hours or so.

Ugh, don't remind me, D2 was a disappointment after the loving deepthroat by japanese teenager twins that was the final product Destiny.

I want a Bully sequel more than any other game.

Ghost of a Tale finally came out and I really wanted to love it. I've been dying for a game that's like Secret of NIMH or Redwall and this should've been a slam dunk. Instead got a poorly paced scavenger hunt fetch quest that's full of bugs and glitches. I do not recommend.

Destiny 2's raids. The gameplay is fine in the rest of the game, and even gets kind of fun once you get some weapons that work for you, but the raids can got fuck themselves. They reek of design by committee.

Speaking of raids, Warframe's raids can sodomize a cactus. I get that raids are supposed to be difficult, as that's the point, but Law of Retribution is just a drag. So many useless mechanics that make zero sense like the boxes that you need to bring to generators to advance the level that explode if you: run, jump, get shot too many times, or even take too long bringing it to where it needs to go. Did I mention that the boxes explode with enough force to be an instakill on most frames?

There's a theory that the sales of GTA V and the unbelievable 99%+ profit margin of GTA Online will encourage Rockstar to make GTA VI an online-focused hybrid with a custom player character instead of a written protagonist and the story mode serving as a tutorial for multiplayer.

Also, nobody has mentioned Sea of Thieves yet:

I haven't played it because I'm sure as fuck not downloading Windows 10 and rebranded GFWL to play it, but you can see the entire game after watching a stream for 4 - 6 hours. Rare is doggedly insistent that players should have fun adventures with literally nothing to do and have no plans for any major content additions besides new maps.

It's a shame. The game had tons of potential if they focused on open world PvP and character progression.

Gonna have to go with DA:I for pc. Got into the 1st battle with a party and noticed no tool tip descriptions for abilities. Turned me off of the whole thing. Glad I pirated a copy.

Also any Paradox games in general when they 1st come out. At least they get better with age (and mods).

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel was disappointing as fuck. The only redeeming feature was that Athena was a pretty cool character to play and I liked seeing Jack's descent into madness. Other than that, it was just...ugh.

The Evil Within. I liked what it was going for, but it was channeling a bit too much Resident Evil for my tastes. If it had taken a more Silent Hill approach to it and really doubled down on the Leslie/Ruvik dynamic (I am a sucker for creepy sociopaths that prey on the innocent), then perhaps it would've been something a bit more than what it ended up being, which was sort of lackluster and honestly generic horror.

Tony Hawk's Project 8, it was such a shitty game that it removed everything that made the series famous, yes THPS5 was piss poor mediocre, but you can kinda say it was trying to return to form, but Neversoft was threatened by Skate's sudden popularity in which they self-imploded by removing trick and park creation, severely limiting the skater creation and making the gameplay more hindered than it should

Dead Island
Rage
Fallout 4 (where the fuck are the rpg elements that made the series famous?)
Final fantasy 13 trilogy (I seriously thought this would be cool at one point)
Final fantasy tactics A2
Fire emblem fates ( I can understand removing the weird tit stroking minigame but removing about 1/3 of the dialogue for no reason killed the game)

Fates' gameplay was excellent, imo, but every piece of dialogue set a new tier of stupid. Holy shit was it bad.

Bioshock Infinite, a friend bought it and we played it together. After roughly six hours of on rails shooting and cutscenes the credits rolled and my friend had the best "that's it? I payed $60 for this?" Look on his face.

Bioshock infinite is probably the most overhyped game I have ever personally played.

There's a really good fandub available. With it installed I think Fates is the best in the series.
