It might not be true now but a few years ago the average mobile "gamer" was your mom and she was playing Candy Crush. Spergs like Ben Kuchera used this fact to try to convince everyone that AAA Console/PC titles needed more female protagonists to appeal to that red hot 40 year old female "gamer" demographic.how is mobile gaming "heavily associated with a female audience"?
most of the top selling mobile games are japanese gacha games filled with lewd anime waifus, like fate grand order and granblue fantasy. i'm pretty sure the audience for these games consists of horny spergs, not women.
Sound design and claustrophobic atmosphere had a lot to do with why I loved the original game most of all.yea just compare the aesthetics of Diablo 1 and 2 to this cheesy cinematic crap. the thing that made Diablo cool was the creepy vibe with acoustic guitar.
A big portion of the original 2 games were that you were a literal nobody. Sure, people may have known you slightly on a personal level, but you were going on a mission where if you died, you wouldn't be any different than the other masses that were slaughtered before you. D3 and, I'm guessing this game, threw that away with "YOU ARE THE PROPHESIZED SAVIOR" trope.Sound design and claustrophobic atmosphere had a lot to do with why I loved the original game most of all.

Don't forget, mobile games are also filled with games that are either cut and paste crap or slapdash assets meant to push ads. Yet somehow criticizing mobile gaming must somehow be related to muh soggy knees. On another note, this game is likely to end up being like Command & Conquer Rivals. The dislike bar is what makes it likely along with a great IP being given an entry that no one would really want.how is mobile gaming "heavily associated with a female audience"?

Oh it'll be fairly successful I have no doubt the reaction were seeing right now is all diablo fans and "actual gamers" who are a tiny audience compared to normies browsing App stores.I’ll be looking forward to seeing how the majority of Blizzard’s zombie hoard of a fan base react to this overtime. The overall disappoint in this game may be a vocal minority of people who actually think for themselves and don’t wet their pants over the joy of buying a new hearth expansion.
The trailer got such negative backlash that Blizzard reuploaded the trailer.

Also, BEHOLD, THE WAITING LINES FOR THE DIABLO IMMORTAL DEMO
it started with D2 tbh. they were toying with a bunch of high fantasy world-building nonsense, then the expansion pack went all in on it, complete with epic orchestral soundtrackyea just compare the aesthetics of Diablo 1 and 2 to this cheesy cinematic crap. the thing that made Diablo cool was the creepy vibe with acoustic guitar.
I read somewhere that the different uploads are for embedding in the battlenet launcher in different regions but I don't see any differences in the actual trailers.
The comments in that make the video sound prophetic.Everyone working at blizzard needs to be called in and be required watch this clip for an entire fucking day. For as much as an insufferable prick steve jobs was he 100% accurate in pointing out this exact situation blizzard is dealing with: the result of what happens when you promote sales and marketing people over the people who work on the actual product itself.
