The MaAmazon thing makes sense, though. An entire race of tough, fierce, warrior women seems implausible. An entire race of tough, fierce, high-T warrior troons? That's a retcon I could believe.
New theory for history majors in need of material: we've been interpreting the ancient stories all wrong. "Amazons" were never ciswomen. They were a highly enlightened culture of MtF trans.
