since its very unlikely phil didn't get this mail i'm going to assume phil has a humiliation fetish. what normal person would willingly look as stupid as to purposely ignore or at least be perceived as intentionally ignoring a letter of this importance if they weren't getting off on it

Gonna take a shot in the dark and say we won't hear anything until the end of the day in Connecticut as his trial is 93rd out of a few hundred.

Does this mean Darksy stops paying the CT Khando HOA dues? If so, that will be a couple hundred bucks extra a month for sweaty man jpegs. Don't count on him mentioning the fact that his cashflow has increased to his wheelchairs because he needs that money.

He stops owing the HOA dues when MidFirst takes possession of the condo, yes.

Well supposedly he is. My speculation otherwise is just based on MidFirst being absolutely scummy enough to make a ridiculous argument otherwise.

Well, I'm obviously no lawyer, but Midfirst has them, and if it's concrete that they can't go after the pigroach, then I'm sure said lawyers will know. Regardless of that answer, though, Phil assuming things is stupid.

I hadn't ever considered that possibility, and, given that he's Scopely's bitch, you may actually be onto something.

Then again, our lack of comprehension of Phil is because we're not as dumb as he is.

Which is one of the biggest reasons I don't like Phil. It's not that I feel entitled to know his financial situation, it's that we already know enough to be sure that when he never seems to be above water, it doesn't make any sense. He doesn't ever like to acknowledge it when he has money freed up, and his lack of transparency otherwise makes it obvious that it's out of greed. He wants the same amount coming in no matter what.

just a reminder that a bankruptcy lawyer from washington told phil everything he knows about the CT foreclosure process

sounds kinda similar to a certain tax situation that was blamed on someone who didn't know another state's specific tax law

I got my popcorn ready, but if he pigroach lucks his way out, there's always something else on the horizon

Don’t know what everyone is getting so hyped about. Phil did nothing wrong, he did everything correct.

How did the courts try to contact him? Did they not think to email him or message him on Line? Nudnicks.

I don't even care if Midfirst gets anything, I just want them to get enough for the roach to hold a rant about how his stupid lawyer didn't tell him he needed to defend himself in court to avoid a default judgement. Followed by pigsplaining the American legal system and calling them a bunch of nudniks for trying to call him or contact him in person instead of email him.

I'd reckon that if the roachluck does pull through and he's not on the hook for a huge amount of the deficency, if he has to pay anything more than $100 you can imagine the salt will be on overdrive for the next week.

I personally expect Phil to get off scot-free on the deficiency because there is no god; only for him to have the next couple of weekends and Tuesdays bogged down by some mandatory fiscal management class issued by the judge. I would love to see some salty, childish entitlement like that should the CT courts give him a free pass on his debts like the WA courts did. Phil does a great job airing his immature ignorance all on his own in situations like that, and they always crack me up.

Is it weird than I'm more hyped for the outcome of this case than I was about Cyberpunk?
There is always more hype to see the finale to a saga than a brand new experience.

I wonder if the default judgment will come this week in time for a massive begging opportunity on the Christmas stream. Would be par for the course when it comes to holidays in the DSPverse.

So what would the condo associations dog in this fight be exactly and what are they trying to prevent?

If I read the summons correctly they are a party because they have an interest in the property that may conflict with MidFirst's claim. They have no direct financial responsibility to MidFirst but a strict foreclosure would prevent them from filing their own lien - the condo board isn't a defendant in the sense that they owe MidFirst money, but they have an interest in the case's outcome and there is not a way to make them a party other than by naming them as a defendant. MidFirst can't just ask the court to serve them as a courtesy. So to answer your question they don't really have a dog in this fight and only appear in the summons so that they can't plead ignorance and contest the foreclosure later.

The condo board has also been no showing for almost as long as Phil and got hit with failure to plead the same day he got hit with failure to appear. My guess is that their lawyers got in there, confirmed there was no possible benefit from fighting the case, then went home.

Is there any news on the hearing from yesterday?

None yet, no. There are so many unknown variables (did he show up, is this the real last hearing or just another procedural one, did the clerk who uploads these files take an early Christmas break) that I would not read too much into the delay.

He did not receive a summons for the most recent hearing because MidFirst already won a default for failure to appear (the default judgment was mailed to the Renton address, not just the Connecticut one). The whole idea of a default judgment is that he can't possibly plead ignorance and is no showing by choice, which entitles the plaintiff + court to proceed without him.
