Played a brawl with doorman and besides obvious buffs like ult t3 and cart, the new bell is pretty great with the increased range, lifetime and having the impact damage instead being also on the main explosion.

Golden goose egg seems like a first attempt at making a more passive farming item, i will probably end up buying it on characters that depends on big items to start being useful like echo shard on goo viscous, who is not really filling out slots that quickly.

Drifter got some random numbers shifted around.
> Drifter: Eternal Night T1 changed from "+6.3 Spirit Damage Proc" to "+10m Sprint" (kicks in immediately)

Cue this silly bullshit from the discord:

Even without the speed minmaxing there his ult's going to be a much nastier engagement tool.

Kinda annoyed at no Grey Talon changes. I love playing him but you basically need the planets to align to get a good Talon game vs. a competent team. Removing the +10 SP on owl kill and making powershot work like Bebop bomb where if the victim dies within 5s of taking damage from it you get +2 SP would fix a ton of his scaling problems.

Dynamo/McG changes look interesting though; McG being turret cancer again would be a nice change from the mcgunnis builds I always seem to see.

Wraith got a rework. Her cards now have different types that give different effects based off their type, full auto no longer buffs teammates but now gives infinite ammo at T3. Ult is now instant and not counterspell food, you can now throw the target wherever you like.
The card rework is pointless and is likely going to be removed. It seems like a reaction to the complaints of powercreep with the release of the newest batch of heroes and now a very straightforward and decent skill now has needless amounts of complexity that can't even be capitalised on since you can't select which card you want to throw. The fact they didn't even bother to try and fit the effects of each suite into the ability description shows how needlessly convulated the ability now is.

Realised they are explained, still a pointless change.

Doorman got buffs to his kit across the board
YOU CAN'T CHECK OUT AND YOU CAN'T LEAVE

You thought doormen were annoying as fuck when they were using vortex web to teleport you into their fountain every teamfight? Get ready for the new memebuild of slowfront anvil into baroness every 10 seconds.

Removing the silence from the wall was certainly a choice, so i am glad to see it back. I still can't see why exactly what they were thinking with the changes, but paradox really felt like half a character when the wall didn't do any damage or silence.

Geist got some random numbers shifted around, ult got buffed majorly. She gets jacked barriers after cast and even silences enemies around her.
Its not a random number shift, Geist got giga buffed, she's actually usable now. Essence bomb no longer instantly kills the user on cast, life drain gets an extra charge and 0.5 seconds (seems small on its own, but if you combo it with rapid recharge you have 5 lifedrain charges for 25 total seconds of drain on an ability that takes 20 seconds to recharge and does like 1500+ damage AND healing per charge)

Soul exchange got a huge cooldown reduction and they moved the actually good effect (3 second 25m silence) into level 2 instead of level 3.

The only pseudo nerf they gave her is that her essence bomb is impossible to hit at level 0 and 1 now, but it doesn't matter because you level it up first anyway.

I've no idea what barriers you're talking about tho.

Resists not barriers I fucked up.

They probably wanted to make her jump through less hoops to deal damage.

Her main problem is that she just doesn’t deal enough damage to be worth it.

Still, it was such a weird change because paradoxs gun is not good enough to justify taking away all the damage from the wall and replace it with potential gun damage. There is some fun stuff you can do with the wall now tho, specially since it affects gravity bound projectiles and skills like viscous goo and doorman carts, but that just makes her even more of an competitive power pick instead of a general character.

I am still in awe that they decided buffing the damage on scorn and letting it proc burst way earlier.

Support Ivy is completely bonkers right now, any sort of spirit life steal with the always on 2 and healing tempo basically turns you into a walking steroid dispenser. On top of that the ult changes made it so much easier to actually hit the bomb without needing vortex, so she actually graduated from being a mid support character.

Celeste straight up looks like a MLP OC brought to the real world to be the autists girlfriend
I actually like Celestes looks a lot. She reminds me of a traveling circus + amusement park that stayed at a place near where i lived, What i dislike the most about celeste is that she has literally 0 movement skills outside of her passive, which is kind of annoying since playing stuff like viscous and holliday feels more like playing a circus performer than celeste does.

4 stamina in combination with reduced gravity, acceleration and air control is stronger than any movement skill in the game if you know how to use the game's parkour. Theme wise though you can't really capture the whole "Acrobat" idea better than it already does on its own.
