Man the game has changed so much since I last played I might as well be new. I'm conflicted with different art styles of characters (PUNK and pre-WW2 Americana) but the game itself still seems solid. Quit right before the first set of new heroes released. Tried out Brawl, which I like, and screwed around with a few of the unfamiliar Heroes.

Sinclair is neat on paper, but MAN he is boring to me, with the ultimate being the coolest part. Feels underwhelming but I'm 90% sure it's a skill issue. Will not pick up.

Holiday is a ton of fun. Love how mobile she is and you can potentially do big damage, and rewarded for a well aim shot. Getting hits with her barrels especially in combination with the jump pads is especially satisfying. Will for sure play her.

Graves, don't care for her outfit design but her kit is fun. I'm a sucker for anything related to Necromancy and I do enjoy she can get up close and personal. I can see why her zombies can be annoying in the regular gamemode but it feels a bit underwhelming in Brawl. People just immediately go for it when it comes up, but you can use this to your advantage. Love she can force people to move a certain way and punish them if they don't. Will also pick up.

Didn't play Victor but holy fuck is he annoying. Paige in good hands is annoying as well.

Going to miss waiting on the roof with the rest of the players as they connect, gesturing and saying dumb shit to each other, but oh well.
 
Yes, even if he gets expansion the vertical hitbox of the stomp does not change, so you can always double jump to avoid all damage, except some spots like stairs are kind of tricky because the projectile climbs them, but otherwise you can always double jump them.
This is why it's good to wait for the guy to double jump or stomping during fights where you are not the focus. It's pretty easy to know when a dynamo player is gonna stomp when they dash or when there are aiming a stomp.
 
Didja know you can parry Viscious' punch without counterspell?
It's only Viscious' punch, it doesn't stun Vis but negates the damage(and I think the knockback), other abilities that scale off melee damage are unaffected.
All is fun and games until you get a lane that can parry those consistently, and even worse if they get rebuttal. Viscous really is yoshis most hated soldier, having the most fun kit in the game but also having all of it frequently nerfed is a horrible curse.

Im really optimistic for the inevitable sinclair visual rework considering he and viscous are the only characters with 100% placeholder models in the roster right now, and sinclair has the potential of having a very amazing visual thing going with his manequin-dual-body magic tricks throwing concept. His kit feels like an OG dota 2 kit in that it is a very disjointed set of skills that are very deep by themselves but don't really work together, but i don't really know how they can fix it without major changes.

Holliday is great, when you get the barrel tricks down you can just zoom around the map nuking squishies and kidnapping people. She does fall off a little bit when people start getting to much HP but she will never not be fun to play as.

My heretic answer, because I like playing him and have similar complaints:

Magic bolt damage increase, but it needs 4 seconds airtime to reach max damage
Double no longer casts magic bolt when you do
Magic bolt now ricochets at the nearest enemy hero when it hits the double
Rabbit is now a lobbed projectile with the same time-of-flight, if thrown at double the aoe becomes larger and it does a small amount of spirit damage

He should be entirely focused around abusing the double, swap, and setting up people for bad situations by putting them point-blank to the double. As-is just using it as a turret is boring, it needs to do more and just echoing bolt sucks when the predominant bolt strat seems to be moonshotting it and hoping your redirect actually throws both bolts at the target you're aiming for. It'd be great to swap out of a fight and turn around to chuck rabbit on the double and proc magic vuln/bullet resist shredders on the enemy team, but you'd also be putting yourself at risk by having to stay close enough to make the shot instead of just swapping a mile away where nobody can find you.
 
Try a lane that can consistently parry tier 1 walkers
What rank are you at? In green rank (initiate?) people regularly parried walkers. In Oracle everyone knows how to parry walkers and you will get dove multiple times if you fuck up badly.
He should be entirely focused around abusing the double, swap, and setting up people for bad situations by putting them point-blank to the double.
You guys play Sinclair like this? Just base his gameplay around big nukes and abusing his lower ult cooldowns than his opponents.
 
What rank are you at? In green rank (initiate?) people regularly parried walkers. In Oracle everyone knows how to parry walkers and you will get dove multiple times if you fuck up badly.
The occasional tower parry is normal, the real horrible pain is when they alternate parries off the tower cd so you literally cannot stay under your tower. I still think they should buff guardians a little bit like giving it some ramping up damage on players because some characters can just ignore towers.

Playing M&K and doing real good with this tank AOE build, but my fucking lane partners kept running off to join the mosh pit mid game as I'm laning. Even got to the shrines but these niggers just want to get kills. Ended up losing a game and going down a rank, now I know how George Floyd felt since I can't fucking breathe.

It sucks that Volvo will eventually lock down modding.

 
They have to, otherwise waacfags will just abuse it until people who play vanilla will be at too high a disadvantage. People were already using mods to show jungle/mid timers and changing heavy melee sounds to make it easier to react to.

Having a fair game with a level playing field based on people being nice about mod usage is basically impossible these days because a lot of subhumans who ironically enjoy competitive videogames without understanding the nature of what makes them compelling experiences. The eastern european and the chinese are prime examples of people who are culturally competitive but also naturally dishonest. We should be thankful they do that at all, considering that valve loves the deflated russian currency so much that they still the european 13% do what they do to their games.
 
Street Brawl is straight crack. I've been having more fun with it than the regular mode. Feel like I'm gonna have to drop some bad habits once I dive into the normal mode more.
 
Not sure if I’m bad and she’s overtuned or the kit just clicks with me, but I’m really liking Paige when the queue gives her to me. I’m either too shitty or too objective-oriented to effectively play carry at this point anyway. I also haven’t liked playing the vampires much at all.
 
Despite getting my cheeks split every match street brawl is pretty fuckin fun. I'd probably do better if i didnt have it on random heroes

Rework on Kelvin seems nice, I honestly can't remember the last time I've seen him and when I played him a few times he felt pretty underwhelming so surely this will help.
 
TLDR:

Abrams got a slight rework. He’s now built around how people actually play him with extended charge T3 stuns while other abilities have been slightly nerfed.

Apollo remains relatively unscathed

Billy got some random numbers shifted around

Calico got unjanked a bit. And minor buffs

Celeste’s Shock & Ball torture got minor nerfs, gravity got reduced again but so did air control

Doorman got buffs to his kit across the board

Drifter got some random numbers shifted around.

Dynamo got redone to be a bit more support-like, bufs to his 3 and 2 while 1 got minor nerfs.

Graves had her root nerfed at base but it looks better after upgraded.

Haze got minor nerfs but they will probably be relatively unnoticeable because they get nullified by T3 fixate.

Infernus got minor nerfs. Melee infernus is now viable since melee now gives afterburn.

Ivy got a rework. Kudzu is now entangling thorns. They now entangle which sounds like a root. She also has a 10% reduced gravity. Watchers covenant is now Kudzu Connection, it got nerfed somewhat but is now permanent at T3. The movespeed buff is gone though so gun ivy in shambles. Stone form is now a bit less useless in early game and she no longer has a get out of jail free card as she can’t ult for three seconds after taking damage.


Kelvin is now even more AIDS, nades stop stamina usage so vyper is even less playable. Got some other buffs to hit support kit like frozen shelter dispelling non ult debuffs on himself and allies.

Geist got some random numbers shifted around, ult got buffed majorly. She gets jacked barriers after cast and even silences enemies around her.

Jacob Lash is an asshole.

Miku is now more turret focused. Turrets buffed across board, wall also spawns two turrets behind itself so miku can now pull three turrets out of her ass at a moments notice. Heal no longer covers the tri state area. You can now destroy a segment of a wall with two heavy melees but that sounds situational at best.

Mina got some numbers shifted around.

Mirage got nerfed hard for some reason.

M&K got their kit buffed at the expense of their ult which got nerfed. Can also now enter tunnels while burrowing so Rem is no longer alone down there.

Paige got her abilities renamed to book jokes, Defend and Fight is now plot armor and is slightly nerfed unless you go all in on it. Summon dragon is now bookwyrm and got slightly buffed.

Paradox got nerfed for some reason but her ult is now AoE.

Pocket got buffed, can probably keep up with other nukers now.

Seven got nerfed for once.

Shiv now has more shivs per shiv.

Silvers wolf form is now no longer at 100% uptime and is overall nerfed.

Victor now gets minor buffs while his ult is down but the rest of his kit got minor nerfs.

Vindicta got buffed across board, the crows now pierce through enemies and fire in a cone. She now has a grace period after assasinate where she can still get the bonus damage buff so you can take shit like tankbuster, reverb and burn.

Viscous got his kit buffed at the expense of his ult.

Warden got buffed across board, especially binding world which now grants the 20% damage increase at T1. It also now gives silence at T3 unless trapped or escaped.

Wraith got a rework. Her cards now have different types that give different effects based off their type, full auto no longer buffs teammates but now gives infinite ammo at T3. Ult is now instant and not counterspell food, you can now throw the target wherever you like.

Yamato got buffed.

Other than that you no longer have a slot limit in street brawl, there’s a new item of mysterious purpose and many activities got buffed.

Edit: the new item looks kinda pointless.
